you'll go into this new
year. November brings a
special friendship.
Family happenings keep
December adventurous.
You'll be promoted in
January and start saving
extra money for a longterm goal. An important
deal will close in March.
Pisces and Scorpio people
adore you. Your lucky
numbers are: 10, 3, 22, 39
and 5.
FORECAST FOR THE
WEEK AHEAD: How do
you deal with change?
Does thinking about it
put butterflies in your
stomach? Do you close
your eyes and jump? Or
do you take slow, tiptoe
baby steps into the new
situation testing the
waters as you go?
Whatever your process,
get ready, because we're
all about to go through it
with this week's Scorpio
shift.
Scorpio is the part of
the sky that rules birth
and death, the extremes
of transformation. This is
not to be taken too
literally, however. Every
time we grow, we say
goodbye to the person we
were. Even the most
incremental change
represents a new you.
And since you cannot
inhabit the old you and
the new you at the same
time, there's a little death
with every new
incarnation.
Thursday, October 23,
gets the makeover party
started with the partial
solar eclipse and the new
Scorpio moon. The sun
and Venus both enter
Scorpio on Thursday, too.
These rapid-fire astral
events give Thursday an
exciting quality. If it
were a movie, the
musical score would be
full orchestration with
lots of suspense and
dynamics and a surprise,
jump-out-of-your-seat
emphasis. Breathe, relax
and enjoy the
entertainment.

Tomorrow’s Horoscope
ARIES (March 21-April
19). Humor is your best
defense system today.
Apply it to perpetuate a
certain frame of mind, to
avoid falling into the
emotional abyss called
"deadly serious" or to
state the truth in a less
threatening way.
TAURUS (April 20-May
20). Enjoy yourself. That's
a novel idea these days as
you work so hard to
fulfill all of your
commitments and
responsibilities. What if
you made a commitment
to fun? Too decadent? Try
it.
GEMINI (May 21-June
21). Your life is like a full
cup. There's so much in it
right now that it has to
be carried very carefully
and steadily. Don't rush
to make a fast move in
any direction. When in
doubt, stillness is the
answer.
CANCER (June 22-July
22). You're a creative
force. The best way to
stifle a creative force is to
give it lots of rules and
guidelines and
requirements. If someone
is making you feel less
than free to create, that
person is not the right
partner for you.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
You don't always
understand poetry. In
fact, it often seems
impossible to understand.
But there will be
something that makes
perfect sense precisely
because it speaks to you
poetically today.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept.
22). If only one person is
to blame, there's no fight.
When the argument goes
on and on, it's a sure sign
that the blame is shared,
and so it's only right that
the fight, which today
will feel quite like a
dance, should be
balanced, as well.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct.
23). You may find it
difficult to stay present
and do what makes you
happy right now when
you are more aware than
ever that you're going to
spend the rest of your life
in the future. Planning is
the order of the day.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov.
21). Those things that are
meant to distract us from
what pulls us down are
important, if only for the
function they serve.
You'll think about this as
someone shares a
seemingly superfluous
detail with you. It
matters.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov.
22-Dec. 21). Your love is
not blind as love tends to
be, and you even may
worry that it's a little too
filled with vision today.
You see up close
intimately, and you see a
distant future, too.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-
Jan. 19). Be open to all of
the suggestions, even the
ones from people who
aren't normally wise,
helpful or even sensible.
Some of the best words
will come from the
mouths of babes.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20Feb. 18). Your popularity
depends on diplomacy.
Not saying everything
you know, pretending
you don't know, slanting
your talk in a favorable
direction -- you'll be good
at this.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March
20). Operating in society
can be downright
challenging. You may get
the chance to show your
stellar manners by
having to put up with (or
more likely ignore) other
people's bad manners.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
(Oct. 19). You've set your
mind to maximum
enjoyment and minimum
stress, and that's how
