Profit from the sale of gift cards for Jan 1 through Sept 30 = $2,059.99Hence, including the profit from the sale of gift cards the church is now in the black by $1,651.63.This improvement represents concerted effort by many in the church to reduce expenses (e.g., turn out lights when no one is in a room).
