Welcome Family, Friends, and Members of the St. Brendan Community, Welcome

Welcome
Welcome Family, Friends, and Members
of the St. Brendan Community,
We are delighted to see you at St. Brendan School’s Masquerade Ball. Your attendance tonight is
evidence of your dedication to our school, a school that provides a unique opportunity for our
children to learn in an environment that celebrates diversity, faith, and family with a strong
commitment to educational excellence.
Masquerade is the most significant fundraiser of this school year. The funds raised this evening
supplement the St. Brendan School’s basic operating expenses. The cost to educate each student
is greater than annual tuition. It is vital that we make the most of tonight to ensure that the SBS
experience continues to be accessible to as many qualified students as possible. Your personal
support is the key to making this a success.
We acknowledge the generous donations of individuals and businesses that made Masquerade
a reality. This evening is the result of countless hours of volunteers motivated by their desire to
further the goals of St. Brendan School. Without the donations from so many local businesses,
family, friends, faculty and staff, tonight simply would not be possible.
Eat, drink, bid and be merry.
The SBS community thanks you.
Warm Regards,
Sister Maureen

Bidding increments are: $10 increments for items up to $199; $20 for items between $200 - $499; $50 for items between $500 $999; $100 for all $1000 and over. In the event of a disputed bid, SBS reserves the right to solicit further bids on the item in dispute
or to accept or reject either bid.
Silent bidding will take place from 6:00PM – 9:30PM on March 31, 2012. Winning bids will be posted at the close of the event
on March 31. SBS, in its sole discretion, will determine the winning bid of each and every item in the Auction.
CONDITION OF SALE FOR WINNING BIDS
All winning bids are final and subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the donors. No returns, refunds, substitutions
or exchanges will be accepted. Unless otherwise specified, all auction items must be redeemed within one year after March 31,
2012, and appropriate dates and times for redemption are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of donor and winner. It is the
responsibility of winners to ensure that there is no damage done to any property made available to winners in connection with

any other conditions related to their winning bids.
The donors furnish all listed valuations, and SBS is not responsible for the accuracy of these figures. SBS is not responsible
for any vendor/store/other product or service provider that may cease operations after the auction date. SBS does not bear any
responsibility should any services or items become invalid, unavailable, inaccessible or otherwise restricted or limited due to
unforeseen circumstances, mistake or events beyond SBS’s or the donor’s control.
Payment for all silent and live winning bids must be received during checkout from 10:30PM – 11:00PM via cash, personal
check, or VISA/MC. The successful bidder must claim all auction items the night of the event.
The Wine Raffle drawing will take place during the event. Winners need not be present to win and will be notified either by
phone, email, or mail.
DISCLAIMERS
The school does not appraise or estimate fair market value of items. The donors have furnished statements of value appearing
in the descriptions. Values assigned to some items are estimates only and are not warranted by the school for tax purposes or
general value. In determining the tax deductibility of items purchased, a deduction is allowable only to the extent that the taxpayer
can show that his or her payment exceeded fair market value at retail of the item or service purchased.
While every reasonable effort has been made to describe each item correctly, all items and services are sold “as is”, without
warranty, unless otherwise noted. Please note restrictions, if any, stated in the item description on the bid sheet. The school is not
responsible for the description or authenticity of items.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
By participating in the Auction, each bidder recognizes and agrees: 1) to these Auction Rules and the decisions of SBS in
connection with the Auction, which shall be binding and final in all respects; and 2) that SBS shall not be liable for: a) any
occurrence resulting from the acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of auctioned items; b) any late, lost, delayed,
misdirected, destroyed, incomplete or inadequate registration forms or other Auction-related materials; and/or c) any human or
other error, or any condition caused by events beyond SBS’s control which may cause the Auction to be disrupted, corrupted or
compromised.
SBS reserves the right in its sole discretion to alter, cancel or suspend the Auction, or any aspect of it, ant any time, should any
cause beyond SBS’s control disrupt, corrupt and/or compromise the administration, security or proper progress of the Auction.
In the event that there is an issue, question or problem in redeeming an auction item, auction winners must contact the event

Pinot Noir Pair by Sea Smoke Cellars
The 2006 Sea Smoke Southing Pinot Noir shows elegant fruit, a rich middle
palate, firm tannins and Sea Smoke Vineyard’s signature cool climate acidity.
Aromas of wild blueberries, violets and a subtle dustiness are characteristic
of this wine. The 2006 Sea Smoke Botella Pinot Noir is juicy, balanced, full
of lively, ripe fruit. It reveals a slightly darker medium ruby color, and a
fruit-dominated bouquet of red currants, plums, black cherries, and Allspice.
Broader, richer, and more savory with additional texture and depth, this
beauty can be enjoyed now and over the next 5-6 years.
