Dr. John Cranham
Learn how to love what you do, have the respect and admiration of your
colleagues, get appreciation from grateful patients and have time for life
outside of the practice! This two-day course is designed to inspire and motivate
the entire dental team and accelerate the transition to the Dawson Philosophy
of Complete Dentistry®. Create a vision for your life and your practice. Gain
an understanding of each team member’s role in making the practice’s vision
a reality. Discover managing, monitoring and marketing techniques that can
help the practice grow into a thriving, profitable and enjoyable environment.
But don’t expect to get into the top 10% on management skills alone. Develop
proficiency in at least eight specific facets of diagnosis and treatment and
gain an understanding as to why they can’t be ignored. Leave with a specific
plan for providing exceptional patient care, building a highly profitable private
practice, delivering predictable dentistry and having time for a fabulous life
away from the office.
Dr. John Cranham has a contemporary dental practice in Chesapeake, Virginia, focusing on cosmetic,
restorative and implant services. He is the director of education at The Dawson Academy and founded Cranham
Dental Seminars which provides a combination of lecture and mobile hands-on programs.
Ms. Joan Forrest, BA, MS is President and CEO of The Dawson Academy. Prior to joining the Academy, she
was founder and President of Prime Performance, a training and consulting company specializing in developing
self-directed work teams and facilitative leadership. Joan’s career has also included management positions with

and dental caries are much more prevalent than

floss does not work with most patients. Investigate the
evidence regarding common oral hygiene procedures
and products frequently recommended by the dental
hygienist. Get the most useful and evidence based

Leave traditional root planing behind and move into a new era of periodontal care. Micro-thin ultrasonic instrumentation
decreases fatigue and enhances efficiency with new topical anesthetics and techniques to manage difficult access,
including the pesky furcation! Incorporating power driven instrumentation into the periodontal component of the
practice provides a time effective adjunct to definitive root planing and the deplaquing process of the periodic supportive
maintenance. Enhance your armamentarium in treating today’s initial and recare periodontal patient where surgical
therapy may not be feasible. Take your skills to new heights in providing a synergistic level of care by incorporating a
combination of both manual and ultrasonic instrumentation in tandem with antimicrobials.
