Rick Dawes served as Providence Grove High School’s principal from the time the school
opened in 2008 up until 2014. Mr. Dawes now serves in a dual role for the Randolph County
School System at the central office — he is the director of administrative services for students
and also the school system’s athletic director.
As a way of commemorating Mr. Dawes’ service to Providence Grove High, the school recently
installed in the main office a portrait (above left) of its inaugural principal. Above right, Mr.
Dawes is shown with his daughter on the day he was honored by the school.
