Dear Skating Club:
We are pleased to announce that the Yonkers Figure Skating Club will be hosting its “Twenty Eighth” Annual ISI
Team Competition on Saturday, November 15, 2014. The competition will begin at 11am and conclude at approximately
6pm. The closing date for all entries is November 8, 2014.
We are proud to be a part of the ISI District III “Skate for Knowledge Competition Series”, a center of attraction to
many skaters. As such, this year’s competition will include the following divisions and categories:
Artistic:
Freestyle 1 through 10
Freestyle:
Tots through Delta; Freestyle 1 through 10
Open Freestyle
All levels
Footwork:
Freestyle 1 through 10
Couple Spotlight:
Low, Medium, Intermediate, High
Individual Spotlight
Tots through Delta; Freestyle 1 through 10
Interpretive:
Freestyle 1 through 10
Solo Compulsories:
Freestyle 1 through 10
Stroking:
Tots through Delta
Age groups for individual events will be determined by the starting date of the competition.
All teams attending the competition will be required to provide current, certified judges. Please send us a list of your coaches
so that we can set up a judging schedule.

ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS
1. All competitors must be a current individual or Professional member of ISI up to and including the
date of the competition.
2. All competitors must compete at their highest test level passed, and all tests must be registered with
the ISI National Office at least 30 days prior to the competition date.
3. All competitors must represent a current ISI Administrative Member (rink).
4. Skaters in Pre-Alpha through Delta may not compete in Freestyle 1 or above. In order to compete in
areas of special interest, the skater must compete at the level for all events in areas of special
interest. If the skater has passed Freestyle 1, the skater may no longer compete in Delta.
5. Members of other organizations are eligible and welcome to compete in ISI competitions as long as
they are current Individual or Professional members of ISI and must have all their ISI tests registered
with the ISI National Office. (USFSA members should refer to the ISI/USFSA Joint Statement of
Policy to determine the requirements for the minimum ISI test level on which USFSA skater must
compete).

The Yonkers Figure Skating Club is pleased to announce its Twenty-Eighth Annual Holiday Classic, an ISI endorsed
competition. The Classic will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the E. J. Murray Memorial Skating Center located
on Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers, New York. The competition will use the rules listed in 2014 ISI Handbook

Competition will be held in the following categories (although lightly-subscribed categories may be dropped to
accommodate other more heavily-subscribed categories, if all cannot be scheduled):

ELIGIBILITY
All competitors must be Ice Skating Institute (ISI) members in good standing and have tests currently
registered with ISI. Test levels passed are as of November 8, 2014..
APPLICATIONS
Completed applications, along with a check or money order payable to “Yonkers Figure Skating
Club” for the appropriate amount, must be postmarked by November 8, 2014 and mailed to: Fiona
Curry, 133 Choate Lane., Pleasantville, NY 10570. Additional copies of application and other information
may be found at the YFSC website: www.yfsc.org
Late entries will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Competition Committee. The entry fees are non-refundable. The
Committee reserves the right to adjust age groups for each event, based on the number of entries received and the ages of
the competitors. A service fee of $35.00 will be applied for each returned check.
The skater’s ISI registration number and competition level must be entered on the entry form and verified by the coach’s or
rink manager’s signature. False information will result in disqualification.
REGISTRATION
All skaters must register at least one hour prior to the time of the event.
MUSIC
Music must be recorded on CDs only. CDs should be clearly labeled with the skater’s name, event and age
on the side to be played. All tapes must be rewound, ready to play, and turned in at the registration desk at
time of registration.
RINK
The rink is semi-enclosed (open sides). Sweaters, gloves and leg warmers will be permitted. The ice
surface is 85 feet by 200 feet. There is no charge for admission to the competition.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the Bronx River Parkway & the Sprain Brook Parkway – Traveling North:
Follow Bronx River Parkway as it turns into the Sprain Brook Parkway. Exit at Tuckahoe Rd. W. Bear left
off exit onto Tuckahoe Road, follow a few blocks until you see E.J. Murray Memorial Skating Center
(Just passed McDonald’s) turn left at light and go to top of hill.
From the Sprain Brook Parkway – Traveling South:
Follow Sprain Parkway to Tuckahoe Road W. exit. Turn right onto Tuckahoe Road and follow for a few
blocks until you see E.J. Murray Memorial Skating Center (Just passed McDonald’s) turn left at light and
go to top of hill.
From the George Washington Bridge and I-87 – Traveling North:
Take GWB to I-87/NY State Thruway (North) to Tuckahoe Rd. exit. (Approx. 10 mi.) Stay straight on exit
ramp until you reach stop sign. Turn left at stop sign onto Tuckahoe Rd., merge to the right – at 2nd light,
turn right (E.J. Murray Memorial Skating Center) – go up to top of hill (after Shop Rite)
From I-87 – Traveling South:
Take I-87/NY State Thruway (South) to Tuckahoe Road E. Follow exit around to Tuckahoe Rd. traveling
east. At the 2nd light, turn right (E.J. Murray Memorial Skating Center) – go up to top of hill (after Shop
Rite)
