This event is a standard U.S. Figure Skating Nonqualifying Competition
The 2015 Central Pacific Regional Non-Qualifying Competition will be
conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure
Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, as well as any pertinent updates
which have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website.
This competition is open to all eligible, restricted, reinstated or readmitted
persons as defined by the Eligibility Rules, and is a currently registered member
of a U.S. Figure Skating member club, a collegiate club or an individual
member in accordance with the current rulebook. Please refer to the current
rulebook for non-U.S. Citizens.
ELIGIBILITY/TEST LEVEL:
Test level: Competition level is the highest test passed as of the entry deadline
in the discipline the skater is entering. Entrants may skate one level above that
for which they qualify, but they may not skate down in any event. Skaters who
placed in the top four in a final round of their last qualifying competition in
their divisions must move up one level, except for novice and higher.
Age restrictions/requirements: Skaters entering juvenile free skate events (Well
Balanced Program) must be under 14 years of age at the close of entries.
Skaters entering open juvenile free skate events (Well Balanced Program),
must be at least 14 years of age at the close of entries.
Skaters entering beginner–pre-juvenile events will be divided as closely as
possible by age should the number of entries warrant more than one group.
JUDGING SYSTEM: The 6.0 Majority Judging System will be used for all events

7/15/2014 and close 9/1/2014 . Once entries have been closed, entry fees are
only refundable if the competition is not held in accordance with rule number
3047. Individual event fee: $100 per event. The entry deadline is 11:59 p.m.,
September 1, 2014. Entries will NOT be accepted late. There will be a $25.00
fee for checks returned for nonsufficient funds. The competition committee
reserves the right to limit entries or cancel events based on time restrictions.
REFUND POLICY: Entry fees will not be refunded unless no competition exists or
the event is canceled. There will be no refunds for medical withdrawals. The
online processing fees are not refundable. Payment of the fee will be required
before the skater is allowed to participate in practice ice or events.

REGISTRATION: The Registration Desk will be open starting Thursday October
16, 2014 at 6AM and run through the last event of the day on Friday October
17, 2014. The registration table will be located in the lobby of the Salt Lake
County Sports Complex. Please register promptly upon arrival.
FACILITIES: The competition will be held Salt Lake County Sports Complex is
located at 645 Guardsman Way (1580 South), Salt Lake City, UT 84108. Phone:
385-468-1925. www.slco.org/recreation/slcsports. The Sports Complex has two
Olympic size rinks. The surface is 200’ x 100’ with rounded corners. Each rink
has 4 locker rooms, which may be used as dressing rooms. The facility has a
snack bar which will be open to the public during the event. Parking is free
and plentiful. Hotels are 2-4 miles from the rink. There are several eating
establishments within driving distance.
MUSIC: CDs are the only acceptable forms of media. CDs must be clearly
marked with name, event entered and the music length. Each CD must have
only ONE (1) track on it. Any disc with more than one (1) track will NOT be
accepted! Lead in time (time before the music begins) on CDs may not
exceed two (2) seconds. Due to compatibility and reliability reasons music
may NOT be submitted on re-recordable “CD-RW” discs.
The official competition music must be turned in at the registration table at the
time of check-in. A duplicate CD should be readily available. Music may be
picked up at the registration table following each event. Every reasonable
care will be taken, but the Salt Lake Figure Skating Club cannot be responsible
for CDs left at the end of the competition. Please have separate CDs for
practice and competition.
LIABILITY: U.S. Figure Skating, Salt Lake Figure Skating Club and Salt Lake
County Sports Complex accept no responsibility for injury or damage
sustained by any participant in this competition. This is in accordance with
Rule 1600 of the official U.S. Figure Skating Rulebook.
PRACTICE ICE: All skaters must register at the registration desk prior to skating
practice session. There will NOT be any refunds after signing up for any
practice ice sessions or for missed practice sessions due to any reason.
Practice ice will be sold in 30 minute sessions. Purchase Practice Ice online
through EntryEeze during entry for competition. See event website located at

Schedule for practice times will be posted in EntryEeze by 9/22/2014. Music
will not be played during practice ice.

practice ice, is strictly prohibited per U.S. Figure Skating policy.
VIDEOGRAPHY
The U.S. Figure Skating Production Team will serve as the official video provider
for all qualifying competitions this season. To order video for the 2015 qualifying
season, please visit www.usfigureskatingvideos.com and enter your email
address. All competitors will be notified when videos are available to preview
and purchase.
Please note: videotaping of the competition, including practice ice, in any
form is strictly prohibited per U.S. Figure Skating policy.
AWARDS: Awards will be presented immediately following the posting of the
official results for each event. Medals will be given for first through fourth
place.
ADMISSION: Entrance to the competition is complementary
CREDENTIALS: Each athlete will receive: one (1) complimentary credentials for
themselves, one (1) chaperone, and one (1) designated approved coach.
The credentials are marked with the individual's name and are non--transferable.
You must have credentials to enter the arena (competition arena), the warm-up area and the locker rooms. One additional chaperone and coach
credentials may be purchased at the registration desk. Additional chaperone
and coach credentials badges are $30 and can be purchased online via
EntryEeze during entry for competition. See event website located at

competition music has been turned in, each competitor will receive their

credential badges for themselves and their chaperone(s). The competitor's
coach will pick up their credential badge separately at check--in.
A photo ID must be shown by all chaperones and coaches when the
credential is picked up. BADGES are non--transferable!
OFFICIAL NOTICES: An official bulletin board will be maintained in the lobby
area outside of the west rink of the Salt Lake City Sports Complex and will
contain official information only. Notices posted on this board are considered
sufficient notice to all competitors. The bulletin board should be checked
frequently for any changes in the schedule.
It is the responsibility of each competitor, parent and coach to check the
bulletin board frequently for any schedule changes and/or additional
information. Skaters are requested to arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled
time of their event. A tentative schedule of events will be posted prior to the
competition.
INFORMATION REGARDING COACHES: U.S. Figure Skating Rule MR 5.11 Coach
Compliance In order to be granted access to work within U.S. Figure Skating
sanctioned activities, each coach must complete the following requirements
on an annual basis by July 1:
A. Must be a current full member of U.S. Figure Skating - either through a
member club or as an individual member;
B. Must complete the coach registration process through the U.S. Figure
Skating Members Only site, submit proper payment for the annual registration
fee of $30 and, if 18 years of age or older, successfully pass the background
screen.
C. Must complete the appropriate CER courses (A,B, C or D) depending on
the highest level of students being coached as of July 1. See rule MR 5.12.
D. Must submit proof of current general liability insurance with limits of $1
million per occurrence/$5 million aggregate.
For Basic Skills ONLY coaches - Any person, 18 and older, instructing in a U.S.
Figure Skating Basic Skills Program must have successfully passed the annual
background screen and be registered as a Basic Skills instructor member.
The local organizing committee/club will have a list of compliant coaches
who are cleared for a credential at the competition. Coaches will need to
check in at the event registration desk and show a government issued photo
I.D. to receive a credential.
If a coach cannot provide a photo I.D. and is not on the list or cannot
produce the necessary documents, he or she will not be allowed a credential

Non-credentialed coaches will not be permitted in the designated coaching
area at rink side during events including practice sessions. Coaching at U.S.
Figure Skating events without compliance is an ethics violation which is
reported to U.S. Figure Skating and PSA.
