RF Picking & Pick-to-Light from Carton Flow THE SOLUTION Implement a Warehouse Management System within their automated warehouse to improve inventory management and order fulfillment. With horizontal carousels and a carton flow pick-to-light system already in place, they chose EDGE to become the heartbeat of their distribution system. EDGE integrated a real-time pick and pass solution for the carousel and pick-to-light along with an RF system to manage their bulk areas. The RF system directs real-time picking, putaway, replenishment and cycle counts within all storage areas. Conveyors route product from the carousels to the carton flow racks, and then to shipping. Product is consolidated with bulk items picked from the pallet rack area and then directed to QC/Pack workstations for shipping.
