Reform topics are discussed in greater depth, reform initiatives are launched continuously, and China is still one of the engines for the world’s development and prosperity. With the state’s progress, the School of Management, Fudan University made satisfactory achievements through last year’s efforts. After years of meticulous cultivation, the School kept winning glories on the international stage: in the 2013 global EMBA rankings released by Financial Times, four programs of the School continued to rank high on the top-100 list. This is unprecedented in the world, showing the School’s overall strength and international standards of talent fostering, academic research, faculty building, etc. After years of steady progress, the School kept making breakthroughs in its development: on October 12, 2013, the first International Advisory Board of the School was formally established. The committee pooling well-known figures in domestic and foreign political, commercial and academic circles will help the School draw upon all useful opinions, gather resources, further strengthen international exchange and cooperation and promote improvement of the School’s training for management talents and even China’s training for management talents. On the same day, the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Zhengli Campus-the School’s new campus-was held. The Zhengli Campus with a total building area of more than 100,000 square meters will be completed and put into use in 2016. Then the School will have first-class environment and facilities for teaching and scientific research in the world. For a business school, scientific research with practical significance and effective all-round fostering of talents are its foundation. Apart from the above great achievements in scientific research, the School’s reform of undergraduate and graduate education continued to deepen, and the work on tutorship was fully carried out. Meanwhile, we consolidated partnerships with various international cooperative schools, further developed cooperative relationships with many leading enterprises in different industries, expanded the School’s influence in the Greater China region through extensive alumni activities and other public welfare activities, and shouldered the due social responsibilities of a business school. The School of Management, Fudan University is now on an unprecedented historical journey: China’s cooperation with excellent business schools around the world and continuous growth of China’s economy lead to huge demand for management research and business education.
