Minds in Motion Enrichment Program Returns to Canton in November
CANTON, CT – Register your K-8th grade children for
the November 8th Minds in Motion event to be held at
Canton Middle/High School.
Minds in Motion, the Connecticut Association for the
Gifted’s (CAG) signature student enrichment program,
provides children opportunities to explore areas of interest
that are rarely part of the everyday classroom. While
students participate in workshops, parents attend thoughtprovoking, special-interest workshops. Although this event is co-sponsored by CAG, it is open
to all interested students, every age-eligible child is welcome and encouraged to attend!
Student workshops include LEGO WeDo Robotics, Circus! Creative Movement! Yoga!, Fun
with Optics, Photography Basics, How to Solve a Crime, and many more fun programs.
Workshop faculty include educators and professionals from Talcott Mountain Science Center,
Kids Artspace International, Babson College, and CT Destination Imagination.
Adults can network with other parents, collect free literature, attend workshops and attend for
free, Music and Movement in Early Childhood, keynote from Lillie Feierabend, renowned music
educator. The five adult workshops include Conversations, Challenges and Critical Mass, Using
Academic Competitions to Extend Learning Opportunities for your Gifted Child, 5 Keys to
Understanding the Twice Exceptional Child, Nine Ways to De-Stress with Yoga and Breathing!,
and Doing it All or Doing what Matters Most: An Interactive Workshop to build a vision and
plan that best fits YOUR Family.
Minds in Motion is presented by the Canton Public Schools and The Connecticut Association for
the Gifted. Registration is $20.00/child for CAG members and $30.00/child for non-CAG
