Football in NY: Today marks the first professional football game played in the borough of
Brooklyn since 1949 when the Brooklyn Dodgers football team last played...It marks the first
professional football game played in New York
City since the Jets departed Shea Stadium for
New Jersey following the 1983 season.
MCU PARK: Following SuperStorm Sandy in
October of 2012, the playing surface at the
ballpark was redone with Field Turf as opposed
to natural grass...Since the installation of the
synthetic grass surface, the ballpark has hosted
over 300 baseball games, concerts for as many
as 15,000 fans, the Brooklyn Half Marathon,
the Big East Baseball Tournament, Professional
Wrestling and more.
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS: The Bolts
have partnered with Maimonides Medical
Center for tonight’s Paint the Park Pink....The first
1,000 fans in attendance will receive a pink Bolts
T-Shirt, and the Bolts team will be joined on the
field pre-game by survivors and caregivers.
WHAT THE BOLT?: The Bolts were named after the ThunderBolt Rollercoaster located just
beyond the left field wall...The modern version,
which opened up in June, sits on the same site
as the classic Thunderbolt that was in operation
from 1925 to 1982.
LOCAL TALENT: RB Kareem Huggins was born
in Irvington, New Jersey and attended Hofstra University on Long Island...OL Erle Ladson
attended Cardinal Hayes High School in the
Bronx before playing at Delaware.
GANG GREEN: Head Coach John Bock, Linebackers coach Marvin Jones and Offensive Line
coach James Brown were all teammates with
the New York Jets...Bock, played in the NFL for
six seasons with the Jets (‘95) and Dolpings
(‘96-’00)...Marvin Jones was an All-American
linebacker at Florida State before playing 10
seasons with the Jets from 1993-2003...He recorded 711 tackles in 142 games...Jones had a
career-high 135 tackles in 2001...James Brown
was an offensive tackle during his nine year pro
career with the Jets (‘92-’95), Dolphins (‘96-’99)
and Cleveland Browns (‘00).

• Set an NCAA single-game record for completetion percentage when he
completed 30 of 32 passes against UAB on August 31, 2013.
• Set a national high school record with 91 TD’s during his senior year at
Loak Oak High School.
• Invited to mini-camp with the Dallas Cowboys.
• Was a four year starter for the University of Louisiana - Monroe Warhawks...Missed some time during his senior year due to a leg injury.
• Was a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award as the best offensive player in Division I Football from the state of Texas.
• Had his top performance during his senior campaign against Troy
when he went 21-34 for 354 yards and five touchdowns.
• Named the Sun Belt Conference’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2012.
• Was also named All-State in baseball at Mabank High School going 6-1
with a 0.89 ERA as a lefthanded pitcher.

season after tearing his ACL win the second pre-season game.
• Originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a non-drafted free
agent in 2012.
• Appeared in 13 games, making one start, with the Jags in 2012...
Caught 10 passes for 108 yards.
• Had 41 catches for 720 yards during his senior season at Florida A&M.

• Had a school-record 365 all-purpose yards against Stephen F. Austin...
Had two kick returns for touchdowns and a punt return for a score in
that game.
• Led the team with 50 receptions fo 835 yards with nine touchdowns.
• Averaged 29.41 yards per kick return and 7.60 yards per punt return
during his senior season.
• Invited to mini-camp with the Minnesota Vikings.
• Ran a 4.43 40-yard-dash...Had the fastest time of any TE at the 2014
NFL Combine and the third fastest for a tight end since 2006.
• Ended his college career at Tennessee State University after starting at
the University of Florida, was behind Washington’s Jordan Reed at UF
which led to his transfer.
• In two years with TSU, caught 85 passes for 1,174 yards and 11 touchdowns.

• Was named All-Big South First Team after his senior season with Liberty
in 2013...Ranked sixth on the team in tackles and had four interceptions.
• Finished his career with nine interceptions for the Flames.
• Missed most of the 2012 injury due to injury.
• Was an All-American return specialist in 2011 when he led the countr
with three kickoff returns for touchdowns.

69 tackles and six pass breakups.
• As a junior, had a team-hihg 93 tackles despite missing two games
with an injury.

• Was one of the last cuts in Kansas City Chiefs camp this season...Was
invitied to Cleveland Browns mini camp in 2013...Originally signed by
the Buffalo Bills as a non-drafted free agent.
• During his senior season as Lane, had 24 tackles, two interceptions and
six pass deflections.
• Began his time at Lane College as a Wide Receiver before switiching to
cornerback for his Junior Campaign.

• Was named All-CAA Football first-team at James Madison after the
2013 season...Was runner up for the Buck Buchanan Award for the nation’s top defensive player...Finished his senior season wtih 141 total
tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks.
• Was the two-time CAA Defensive Player of the Year including in 2012
and 2013.
• Finished his career with 445 tackles in 46 career starts...Had 26 career
double-digit tackle efforts.

DL
• Signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2011, spent most of his season
on the practice squad before appearing in three games late in the
season.
• Spent two seasons in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton
Tiger-Cats. in 2013 and 2014.
• At the University of Georgia, began his career as an offensive lineman
before transitioning to the defensive line.

• Worked out with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014.
• Played his final season with Albany State University...It was his sixth
school.
• Began his college career at Bowling Green and was named to the freshman All-American Team...A transfer was not granted after his freshman
year so he spent one season at Eastern Arizona Community College...
Committed to Tennessee, but followed Lane Kiffin to USC...Transferred
from USC after they received NCAA sanctions...Tranferred to Florida
State but did not become eligible so he transferred to West Texas A&M.

collecting 81 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss.

• Signed with the Arizona Cardinals in August, 2012.
• Was a two-year starter at defensive end with the Washington Huskies
and finished his career with 101 tackles, seven sacks, and 17 tackles for
loss.
