The NEFA contests promote making right choices and living a healthy lifestyle by keeping with the “Red Ribbon” theme of being “Drug-Free”! Who Can Enter? Poster Contest—Age 10-12 years (individual) Essay Contest—Age 12-14 years (individual) Video Contest—Age 10-14 years (individual or recognized group) Entry Deadline for ALL contest’s is October 31st, 2014 These contest’s are offered throughout the State of California. The "Say No to Drugs" theme contests have an emphasis on the dangers of drug abuse. The essay will be limited to 3,500 characters with spaces included and typed with 12pt. font. We will accept the essay by mail, email or hand-deliver the essay to your Region Chairperson. POSTER RULES: • Posters must be submitted to the CNOA Region Chairperson. • Regional Chairpersons must submit the posters to CNOA Headquarters in October 31, 2014. • Parents may assist and help the student think of ideas, but they may not do any of the poster work. • Students may use any art skills or drawing tools they deem necessary. • Computers may not be used. • All artwork, writing or printing must be done by hand or with hand tools. i.e. pencils, erasers, colored pencils, markers, crayons, rulers, protractors, compasses etc. • All posters are to be done on 22 inch by 28 inch poster board or drawing papers. • All posters must be submitted on time, October 31, 2014.
