First Annual “Letters of Love” Contest
In recognition for National “Kick Butts Day” which is March 19th, 2014,
Students in grades 4-9 have been asked to participate in our “letters of
love” contest within Tioga County. This contest is designed to give
kids a chance to express their feelings about a loved ones smoking or
tobacco use. Those who enter the contest are invited to the awards
banquet thrown especially for the participants and you will be eligible
to win a great prize!
Safe and Sober Prom Initiative
Prom night is one of the highest
nights of underage drinking
and can also be one of the most
fatal.
TCCASA is taking a stand for a safe and sober prom. Our organization is making sure
teens are constantly reminded throughout
the night about the dangers of drinking and
driving. With a creative idea, TCCASA has
made “Think Before You Drink” cards which
include a visual picture of the consequences
of drinking and driving, along with a reminder to have a safe and sober prom. With the
help from local florists and clothing stores,
the cards will be placed in teen’s corsages
and tuxedo pockets. Thank you to those
who are participating.
We are a non-profit organization. Any donations are greatly appreciated and can
be dropped off or mailed to our listed address. Donations may also may be made
through our website: www.TCCASA.org
