The SURPRISE at October 6th meeting were 8 youth from 4th to 7th grade who brought their guitars, played and sang for us during our
meal. REALLY, REALLY GOOD-- they even got a standing ovation!! All together with the kids, seniors and a few of their parents-- we had 58 in
attendance! For our meal we had BBQ, baked beans, chips and coleslaw. We voted to donate $900 to 3 different areas in and around the
Church. We filled the last remaining room for our Myrtle Beach trip which gives us 28 people going!! Our next meeting is November 3 at 7pm.
Women’s Ministry Women Praying for Women, a circle of prayer… if you have a prayer need, write your prayer request on a pink card found by
the basket & at each pew then drop the card into the pink basket in the Narthex. In return pick up a pink card from the basket and pray for the
need of another lady.
Fountain of Books Join us Friday, November 21 at 6:30 PM at the Kernersville Chamber for our November book club meeting. We will discuss
the book "Orphan Train" by Christina Baker Kline. Rich in detail and epic in scope, Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline is a powerful novel of
upheaval and resilience, of unexpected friendship, and of the secrets we carry that keep us from finding out who we are. Bring a dish to share.

From our Parish Nurse… From our Parish Nurse… The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to see". Mark 10:51 Ophthalmologists have many ways
of correcting vision problems. Blind people want to gain the use of their eyes, as the man who spoke to Jesus. Imagine someone who can see but
chooses not to. Often we fail to see. We are blind to see the needs of others and sometimes to see our needs. We fail to see our need for spiritual
growth and change or to see the sin in our life. Opportunities are offered here at the Fountain for us to grow spiritually but also to help each other
grow spiritually within and outside this community of faith. What does Jesus need to do to cause us to see? Jesus was and is the sight-giver. He still
restores eyesight today. Sometimes the most needed restoration is our spiritual eyesight. Leigh Ann Benson, RN, Parish Nurse, 558-5839
