What a great night was had by all at our Ice

the “Great Gatsby” with many members dressing for
the part. Our Rear Commodore, Cheryl Holt organized
this event and was hosted at the Kent Island Yacht
Club. Once again, Poker Parties, Inc. provided the
gaming tables along with favorite Black Jack dealer
Jerry! There were 41 members/guests in attendance at
this fun filled night of food, gambling, and of course,

of sanding, varnishing, and bottom paint work
waiting for me! Oh the joys of owning a classic
boat. To be truthful, I wouldn’t want it any other
way!
As we turned our attention to finally getting
warmer weather after what seemed like a never

Osprey Point Marina and Inn
in Rock Hall, MD. Fleet
Captain Harry Bowie has
made all the arrangements
with invitations being sent
out shortly. I hope everyone
has already marked their
calendars for June 6, 7 & 8,
2014.
Friday night will start with
our Cocktail Party! Beer,
wine, sodas, and water will be
provided by CYCA. Please
bring an appetizer to share
with fellow members.
Saturday will be the Flag
Raising Ceremony located on
the lawn next to the flagpoles
and our traditional cannon salute
will begin the new CYCA boating
season. Dinner will follow in the
Osprey Point Restaurant which is
sure to be delicious!
Yacht Club Reciprocity
As a card-carrying member of CYCA, you are usually entitled to
special courtesies from other yacht clubs around the Chesapeake
Bay. These courtesies may range from simply being allowed to enter
their facilities, to discounts on slip rentals. Please check the website
for more information on member yacht clubs in the Chesapeake Bay
area.
Guest Incentive Program
The CYCA Board will continue its guest incentive
program to help encourage new membership.
When the guest of an active member attends a
rendezvous on their own qualifying boat, the guest
will attend the Saturday night dinner on the Club.
The dinners for up to two guests of the same vessel
will be complimentary meals at that Saturday
evening event.
Encourage a guest to attend by boat
and join in on the fun!
We encourage all members to invite friends or
marina mates with classic vessels to come
experience our club. CYCA is only as strong as its
membership.
