About Blackstone Models Locomotives
Blackstone Models locomotives are designed for exceptional slow-speed operation
and a minimum operating radius of 18 inches. Track power is picked up by all drivers
and tender wheels for smooth running, even over switches. Die-cast construction
provides excellent detail while furnishing the extra weight needed for reliable operation
and superior pulling power. All locomotives are equipped with a custom SoundTraxx®
Tsunami® Digital Sound Decoder, golden white LEDs, and Kadee® No. 714 couplers.
2-8-0 Locomotives
While not based on a specific prototype, this model is ideal for early-era freelance railroads.

Jackson and Sharp Open Platform Passenger Coaches
This release includes early-era coaches painted with Passenger Coach Red, as well as
remodeled versions with Pullman Green paint that were prevalent in the 1920s through the
mid-1950s. Interior details include lamp vents, restrooms, water coolers, stoves and coal
bins, and Buntin seat frames. These models include track pickup wipers for installing an
optional SoundTraxx Accessory Lighting Decoder (P.N. 810136).

model by hand.

UTLX Narrow Frame Tank Cars
ProTraxx™
The UTLX models represent standard tank cars that were converted after 1924. The CYCX
versions are modeled after the UTLX cars that were sold to the Penn-Conley Tank Corporation
in the mid-1930s.
ProTraxx pieces are outfitted with Kato UniJoiners at each end for effortless and reliable track
connections. The track also features painted and textured ties with Code 70 nickel-silver rail
and is mounted on a ballast-colored roadbed.
