NPO registration number: 001/913 NELSPRUIT October 2014 Established in 1937 76 years of service to the community “ It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air… “ ET Ellis Greetings to you all Many will be wondering where the year has gone.!! And we do too. We are fast nearing the end of a very busy year. As some of you know the funding received from USAID was “A specific” in that our criteria for being granted the money was to provide awareness, training and lifeskills programs. This would better equip the community about the prevention of HIV/Aids. The importance of preserving their lives is to be able to care for their children without the bleak prospect of orphanhood. We wish to continue providing this awareness and campaigning in and around the Nelspruit area. It has a very positive impact on the lives of families with children who are at risk. We have our AGM coming up on 5 November 2014. If you would like to join us for a short meeting followed by light refreshments please contact Penny Jane at our offices 013 753 3330. In this way you can get to know our organization and what we are about. Thereafter we will be focusing on World Aids Day coming up on 1 December which flows into 16 days of Activism against abuse on Women and Children. We also have our 18th Xmas Dream Tree Project running again this year. Please see page three for details. We wish to take this opportunity of thanking all of you out there who have supported us through the year and enabled us to provide our services to children and their families. All wonderful wishes to all our readers and your families for the season of giving coming up. APPEALS Calling all readers, friends and family We are hoping to be granted the opportunity once again of providing a wrapping service outside the exit door of Makro. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOUR CALL AND WE HOPE TO HAVE A FAVOURABLE RESPONSE FROM MAKRO. Please consider supporting our endeavours to continue with awareness campaigns/lifeskills/training so that the outcome of what we started just over a year ago can continue to gain momentum and bear bigger fruit. Our vision is to provide this ongoing awareness/lifeskills/training during the school holidays at schools in and around Nelspruit area.
