Spirit Team, Parents and Representatives,
IT'S HOMECOMING WEEK!
--Spirit Team Trivia:
Awesome picture of Delaney McKenna in the basket toss with The
Stuntmen, and some Varsity Cheer and Songleaders in view at the
very first Pep Rally of 2014 on BIG Friday!
This week it is HOMECOMING...with yet another Pep Rally...and
what should be packed stands at the Football game!
It is also a huge night for The Spirit Team Seniors too as they 'walk'
with their Parents/Representatives, and are presented to the
crowd for their years of service and commitment to Agoura High
School,The Spirit Team,the support of Athletics and the Community.
It's going to be a great evening soooo get there early if you want to
get a seat
---*FYI....Also, your Superintendent of Schools, Dan Stepenosky, will be
sharing the pictures taken by Sean/Stephanie McKenna, of the Reyes
Adobe Parade of The Spirit Team with the School Board at their
Tuesday night meeting.
How wonderful to have a Superintendent like that actually cares
about the students in his District

*The Car Wash was awesome! We express our thanks on behalf
of The Spirit Team members, to Brian Lee and his Parent Volunteer
Committee and ALL of the Parents/Representatives who helped raise
funds for their student athletes
It was a successful and VERY profitable day for those who chose to
make it so!
---Lots to do this busy week...sooooo.....let's go!
This week for The Spirit Team:
*Please remember that if you are going to be ABSENT FROM
CLASS....AS WELL AS FROM A PRACTICE/GAME/EVENT...you
need to EMAIL MRS. KOCH.... stating the reason why as well ...as
soon as it is known by the parent/representative! It is an impossibility
for Mrs. McGrew to use the time properly and plan ahead when
adjustments have to be made to accommodate missing team
members.
*Jobs and personal family time/events are choices
and therefore unexcused absences.
---Monday, 10/20 - *MANDATORY Senior and Junior Meeting - E-3 at
Lunch

*MANDATORY - After School Practice - VARSITY ONLY- 3:005:00pm.
*Spirit Board Meeting - 7:00PM IN THE TEACHERS LOUNGE - Ask
questions and give your input

---Wednesday, - 10/22 - *Captain's Meeting - E-3 at Lunch
*Class - Decide on Game Day Pep Rally/School/Game Dress.
--Thursday, 10/23 - Frosh/Soph- Freshman Homecoming game vs.
Calabasas.
*Frosh/Soph - Meet at the Girls Locker Room at 3:00pm Performance Ready - white bow .
*Please follow usual game procedure.
*Leave performance ready for the field with Mrs. McGrew at 3:15pm.
*Bring sunscreen, water, snacks/food/Spirit Team sweats!
NO purses please...blue draw string bags or Spirit Team large bags
are the ONLY acceptable items on the track.
Have a great time at what will be your last Freshman home game for
2014 !
*MANDATORY Homecoming Pep Rally Rehearsal will be held in the
evening...after the Frosh/Soph game. ALL TEAM MEMBERS ARE
TO BE IN ATTENDANCE THAT ARE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
RALLY!
*6:00pm - All Team Members meet at the football field dressed in:
Black Charger T, Black Shorts, White Cheer Shoes. - NO
EXCEPTIONS....... besides Frosh/Soph Cheer who may remain in
their uniforms (But can however change into the above clothing... if
they wish)
*7:00pm in the gym for Pep Rally Practice.
*Song, please bring your poms for practice!
*ALL TEAMS - If need be...please bring your books for studying on
down time, if possible
*As ASB is in charge we have no control over the end time of this
rehearsal
--Friday,10/24 - IT'S HOMECOMING vs. Calabasas...and the
celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Agoura High School
*Pep Rally - You will be let out of your classroom at 9:45pm as usual
to go to the gym...performance ready.
*JV game - Kick Off - 4:00pm
*Senior Presentations - Parents and Seniors will line up at 6:25pm on
the field. You will proceed through The Spirit Team Tunnel before the
Football Players and their Parents, and proceed to stand on the
track...then for pictures before at pre-game performance.
(The Seniors will practice this on Thursday, 10/23, the day before the
event.)
*Pregame Performance.
*Varsity game - Kick Off - 7:00pm
*There will be a ceremony honoring/introducing the1984 Undefeated
Football Team on the track at the end of 1st quarter. Frosh/Soph and
JV Cheer and Song with escort the '84 Football Team Members to
their positions.
(This will be practiced a the Thursday, 10/23, the day before the
event.)
*No halftime performance due to Homecoming festivities.
*All of the above will be detailed further in an individual email to be
sent out Wednesday evening 10/22/14
*10 week grades will be turned in by your Teachers today, 10/24!
Any makeup work...etc..due...get on it right away
*HAVE A FABULOUS HOMECOMING WEEK!!!

*NEW - November 14th - Possible CIF playoff game for Football.
*Possible CIF Playoffs for all Fall Sports - Games/dates will be
determined only when league play is finished.
--*LEADERSHIP COUNCIL FOR ALL MEMBERS THAT WOULD LIKE
TO HAVE A PART IN THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS OF THE
SPIRIT TEAM WILL BEGIN IN OCTOBER. DATE TBD.
*Please note: Unless you have been an active member of Leadership
Council you may NOT run for a Captains position the following year.
*The Council will be lead by the Gold Team Captains, Juliana Medof,
and Kinta Schott.

--NEW - 12/6/14 - MANDATORY COMMUNITY EVENT - Santa Comes
to Westlake, Agoura and Beyond. Approx. 9-11am. More information
to come!
--*MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!!!!!
*Saturday, 1/24/15 - Mandatory Competition at Agoura - ALL TEAMS
- USA Nationals Regional - Qualifier/Fundraiser at AHS - All
members and at least one Parent/Representative must attend and
'work' a shift during that day.
Crowdleading and ALL BLUE TEAMS will perform for evaluation and
to qualify for USA Nationals. More information to come
--*3/20-22/15 - Mandatory- ALL TEAMS USA Nationals Competition weekend - Performances at Anaheim
Convention Center.
*Time to defend Agoura's National Crowdleading Championship, as
well as show off the skills of the Blue Team Competition Teams.
