When sending cargo, write Järvinen / FinnMETKO2014 on the cover letter and the number of the
stand, as well as the name of the company sending the cargo, and the phone number of a contact
person.
Exhibition grounds and access to them:
The area for demonstrating earth moving is near the main exhibition area, an approximately 500
meter walk. Access to the earth moving demonstration during constructions days is along
Riihijärventie Road to Kaakkolammintie Road and from there to the service road of the earth
moving demonstration area. There are road signs leading to the area and during the exhibition
there is a parking area with signs for passenger cars.
The timber harvest and forest management demonstration area are located in Lehmisuo, about
3 km from the main area. During the construction period, the directions for driving to the area are
as follows: Mäntäntie Road (56) Hopsuntie Road = via Kädenmäenti Road, turn right at
Lavakorventie Junction according to the road signs. During the exhibition there is bus
transportation to the area, and there will be ticket sales there and food services and large parking
area for passenger cars. During the exhibition cars will be directed to the area from Mäntäntie
Road 56 via Lavakorventie Road.
Another timber harvest demonstration area (thinning) is very near the main gate and the parking
areas for busses and passenger cars. There will be free bus transportation between all
demonstration areas during the exhibition.
Parking for motorhomes and caravans
There is parking area for motorhomes and caravans on Lavakorventie Road 105, and just like in
2012, during the exhibition the way to the area goes from Mäntäntie Road along Lavakorvantie
Road following the road signs. There is a fee for parking.
Exhibition office and its opening hours:
The exhibition office is located in the college very near the college’s machine shop and the
asphalt fields, in Metsuritalo. There are signs leading the office and it is indicated on
customer maps. The same rooms are used for the PRESS and MEDIA center and the Red
Cross first aid station.

The exhibition office is open as follows: Mon 25 Aug from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tue 26 Aug and
Wed 27 Aug from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on exhibition days 28-30 Aug 2014 from 8:30 am to
5:30 pm.
Restaurant, grill and pub services
From Monday to Wednesday, during construction days, you can eat and drink coffee at the
FinnMETKO2014 restaurant tent located near the main gate (see signs and map). All exhibition
restaurants, grills and pubs are open during exhibition days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (28-30 Aug
2014)
Exhibitor restaurant:
The Exhibitor restaurant is located in the former main building of the JAO college, with space for
about 200 diners. The restaurant is indicated on maps and there are signs leading to it. The
restaurant is open for exhibitors from Wednesday 27 Aug to 30 Aug every day from 8:00 am to
5:00 pm.
The restaurateur is Elonen Oy. There is a 100 person auditorium and several meeting rooms in
connection with the restaurant that can be rented. For more information contact

Food and coffee orders to stands:
Orders go directly to www.casseli.fi , [email protected].
Restaurants, pubs and some grills have credit card terminals. There is no place to withdraw cash
at the exhibition area. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH CASH WITH YOU – JUST IN
CASE…
Construction and transport of machines to area:
Machinery can be transported to some stands already during week 34 and on the weekend of 23-24
Aug; make arrangements with a representative of Finnmetko Oy in advance. The construction of a
stand and the transport of machinery and equipment can start for outdoor stands on Monday 25
August at 8:00 am, stands on an asphalt field can be started on Saturday 23 Aug at 8:00 am. The
indoor stands built by Lahden Messut will be ready on Tuesday 26 Aug 2014 at 8:00 am. Lahden
Messut will build and furnish the stands located in FinnMETKO hall and the restaurant tent hall in
accordance with exhibitors’ orders.

Shipping and transport in Jämsä:
A freight and cargo terminal is located in Jämsä, very near Tampere – Jyväskyläntie Road (highway
9). There are several transportation companies in Jämsä, including Ottelin Oy, Erkki Ojala Oy,
Keski-Suomen Kuljetus Oy and Jukka Köntti Oy. Contact information can be found online and from
the exhibition guide in June 2014.
Service driving and parking of exhibitors:
An exhibitor card is needed for service driving to stands except during exhibition time. There is
not a separate service driving card. Exhibitors also have their own marked parking spots in the
main exhibition area near the main gate (see map) and near the demonstration areas (see map).
Service drives are allowed from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and evenings from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm.
Vehicles must leave the exhibition are before 8:00 am. When the exhibition is open from
9:00 am to 5:00 pm service drives to the stands are not allowed.
Press and media center:
There is a PRESS room near the exhibition office where you can leave press releases starting on

Ticket orders of exhibitors – food – coffee – beer / long drink
Please order tickets in advance from Finnmetko Oy’s website www.finnmetko.fi. All tickets
(customer invitation cards, food and beer/long drink cards) are invoiced based on used or returned
tickets.
NOTE! Make sure you order enough of every kind of ticket in time because they are invoiced
based on tickets used.
Exhibitor card
A free card, the quantity depends on the size of the stand and the number ordered is based on the
number of people working at the stand. An exhibitor entitles the holder to free entry every day.

A card that is ordered for use during construction and dismantling days. Order this card when the
builders are different people than the exhibitors. In other words this card may not be
necessary!

Exhibitors are responsible for internal electrical connections such as additional electrical
outlets. Exhibitors are responsible for making sure their electrical equipment works.
Electricity cannot be given to other stands. Jokiwatti Oy, [email protected] is
responsible for the producing the electricity and providing on-call service for the entire
exhibition area. Electricity on-call telephone numbers will be given separately in August.

Flagpoles for stands
The organizer will rent a total of 70 surface-mounted
flagpoles that are 6-9 meters tall. The rental price includes
transportation, erection and removal of flagpoles on a spot
indicated by the exhibitor. Flagpoles will be handled by
transportation company Jukka Köntti Oy.
