FINAL DAY FOR SENIORS The final official school day for Year 11 and Year
12 students is Tuesday November 4, school will finish at 3.15 as usual.
YEAR 13
GRADUATION ASSEMBLY 5 NOVEMBER 10.00AM PROMPT START
This is the final assembly for our Year 13 students in the hall. Students will receive their graduation certificates, final
Year 13 reports, school magazine and testimonials if requested. At the conclusion of this, they are invited to a
morning tea with the staff, following which they are free to go.
NOTE: as per previous communications, students with attendance below 85% for the year and without acceptable
reason may not receive the Year 13 Certificate, although they are welcome to attend the Assembly
EXAM ADMISSION SLIPS
Students will receive these shortly, this will give them the exams they are entered for, times and dates, Students will
need to show these slips for every exam they attend.
NZ DEFENCE FORCE BLUE LIGHT LEADERSHIP CAMP 6

Monday morning I arrived at the Army Base in Hobsonville, Auckland. We were about 96 students. We got
divided into three platoons and each platoon was divided in to 3 sections. Our bags were checked for forbidden
items. Camos were issued to us and we were shown to our bunks. First off we were shown how to march
properly. It might look easy but it is quite a skill to master. The day started at 5.30am. (To be late was not an
option) The day finished at 9.00 pm
Activities included: - Monday - Mastering marching (terminology).
Tuesday - Marching – half a day, Log lifting, Team work skills.
Wednesday - (our 24 hour day) - Extremely challenging day, 10
different team work problem solving scenario activities, Fitness obstacle
course, Knee deep mud run on the beach – half a day. Thursday Problem solving activities to build trust, teamwork, confidence – All
blindfolded activities, Paintball, Target shooting, Axe throwing, 2 x
Lectures about leadership, Practice Log throwing. Friday - Parakai
Water Park fun day. Saturday - Graduation at Henderson Stadium,
Each platoon and section showed off different skills, Price giving
Thank you for this opportunity. This camp was an awesome experience, I
met great people and made good friends. I’ve learned a lot and it
definitely gave me clear leadership skills.
Leardt received 2 certificates, one for the successful completion of the
potential leadership course and he was also presented with the Most
Improved Student from section one Platoon.
