The Bred-by-Exhibitor Class shall be for dogs that are: 6 mos of age or older as of the first day of the show.
Not Champions of Record on the date of closing of entries for the show; individually registered with The
American Kennel Club as of the date of closing of entries for the show; owned or co-owned by any of the
breeders of record as the date of the closing of entries for the show. The person handling the dog in this class
must be a breeder of record and an owner of record of this dog. In any subsequent classes for which a dog
from the Bred-by-Exhibitor class becomes eligible, there are no restrictions as to who may handle.

Conformation. The Puppy Sweepstakes is open to all Rottweilers, who are at least 6 months of age and under
18 months of age on the day of the show. Indicate “Sweepstakes” and Age Division on the Regular Entry
Form under Class. Note: Sweepstakes dogs must be also entered in a regular class in the show.

The highest entry fee is to be considered to be the first entry for each dog per day.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS:
At every show held under the rules of the American Kennel Club, a recording fee not to exceed 50 cents
may be required for every dog entered. This recording fee is to help defray expenses involved in keeping
the show records, and applies to all dogs entered. If a dog is entered in more than one class at a show, the
recording fee applies only to the first entry.
CONDITIONAL, UNSIGNED, INCOMPLETE, TELEGRAPH, or TELEPHONE ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.
ENTRY FEE will not be refunded in the event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing
date, nor in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge or barred
from competition by the Show Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. If because of riots,
civil disturbances, weather or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or
complete the Show, no refund entry fees will be made. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry
fee.
Policy re: NSF Checks for RCA Specialty Entries
Offender must make good on NSF check and pay all outstanding fees and charges incurred by Club
resulting from NSF Check. Additional restrictions may result on future entries for the offender.
Entries not on official AKC ENTRY FORMS, or photocopies of entry forms without the agreement and rules
on the reverse side are not acceptable.
CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES IS 8:00 p.m., AST WEDNESDAY, October 22, 2014 after which time entries
cannot be accepted, cancelled, or changed, “except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog
Show Rules.”
Effective for all events held on and after January 1, 2008, The American Kennel Club will collect a $3.00
Event Service Fee for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same
dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club
events.

The Program of Judging and acknowledgments will be mailed to each entrant prior to the show. This can
be done electronically for those who provide email information on entry forms.
MAKE ALL CHECKS AND MONEY ORDERS PAYABLE TO “RCA”. Make all CANADIAN checks and money
orders payable in US FUNDS. CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their
crates and setup areas. AN EXERCISE AREA will be provided. It is the responsibility of the
exhibitors to take care of their dogs and to clean any area soiled by their dogs.
PLEASE remember to include only AKC titles, OFA and CERF numbers (other titles/certificates
are not printed in AKC catalog entries but are welcome in your ads!)
4.
The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly
understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children.

ADDITIONAL RULES
ENTRY INFORMATION
1.
Fees must accompany entries. This club and/or its show secretary assume no
responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the
owner. This club and its show secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or the owner’s agent
entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice.
2.
Entry fees will NOT be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by
veterinarian or judge, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of the entry fee for
bitches in season; bitches entered for breed competition are eligible to be shown.
3.
Declination of Entries. The Kennel Club may decline any entries for cause and may
refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one
shall have any claim or recourse against the Kennel Club or any official thereof.
4.
If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the
management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made.
5.
Effective for all shows held on or after July 1, 1980, dogs which according to their
owners’ records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for a
show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to
the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent least one
half hour before the start of any regular conformation judging at the Show.
6.
There will be no refunds for duplicate entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries
will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made.
7.
Owners/Agents are responsible for errors in making out entry forms. No entry fee
will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published date.
JUDGING
1.
Judging will start promptly. During the hours of judging, owners are to be on call, and
have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, in order that the judging will not be delayed.
Dogs need only to be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. DO
NOT BRING ANY DOGS THAT ARE NOT ENTERED. There is no provision for unentered dogs at this show.
2.
It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the
entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners or agents of the dog alone are
responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. There is no rule that requires the judge to
wait for a late dog.
3.
All dogs must be on leash at all times while on the show premises, except when in an
exercise pen or in the obedience ring if offered.
4.
All prizes will be awarded in the ring. The Club reserves the right to substitute any
trophy with one of greater or equal value if conditions make it necessary. The show giving club and show
secretary disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
MANAGEMENT IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE TO, OR
DEATH OF ANY DOG EXHIBITED. OR FOR THE POSSESSIONS OF ANY
PARTICIPANT,

WHETHER THE RESULT OF ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER CAUSE. ITIS EXPRESSLY
UNDERSTOOD THAT EVERY DOG AT THIS SHOW IS IN THE CARE AND CUSTODY AND CONTROL OF HIS
OWNER OR HANDLER DURING THE ENTIRE TIME THE DOG IS ON THE SHOW PREMISES.

DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES.
3.
NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS: All persons attending this show hereby waive any claim for
damages against the show giving Club or its Members in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to
rescue a dog from overheating or improperly vented conditions.

All rights to TELEVISE, VIDEO TAPE. ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are
vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club.
All persons and animals on the Showgrounds at any time while the Show is in progress, do by attending this
show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, video tape, audiotape or
otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Kennel Club is
not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show.

PREFACE: The sport of purebred dog competitive events dates prior to 1884, the year of AKC’s birth.
Shared values of those involved in the sport include principles of sportsmanship. They are practiced in all
sectors of our sport: conformation, performance and companion. Many believe that these principles of
sportsmanship are the prime reason why our sport has thrived for over one hundred years. With the
belief that it is useful to periodically articulate the fundamentals of our sport, this code is presented.
• Sportsmen respect the history, traditions and integrity of the sport of purebred dogs.
• Sportsmen commit themselves to values of fair play, honesty, courtesy, and vigorous competition,
as well as winning and losing with grace.
• Sportsmen refuse to compromise their commitment and obligation to the sport of purebred dogs
by injecting personal advantage or consideration into their decisions or behavior.
• The sportsman judge judges only on the merits of the dogs and considers no other factors.
• The sportsman judge or exhibitor accepts constructive criticism.
• The sportsman exhibitor declines to enter or exhibit under a judge where it might reasonably
appear that the judge’s placements could be based on something other than the merits of the
dogs.
• The sportsman exhibitor refuses to compromise the impartiality of a judge.
• The sportsman respects the AKC bylaws, rules, regulations and policies governing the sport of
purebred dogs.
• Sportsmen find that vigorous competition and civility are not inconsistent and are able to
appreciate the merit of their competition and the effort of competitors.
• Sportsmen welcome, encourage and support newcomers to the sport.
• Sportsmen will deal fairly with all those who trade with them.
• Sportsmen are willing to share honest and open appraisals of both the strengths and weaknesses
of their breeding stock.
• Sportsmen spurn any opportunity to take personal advantage of positions offered or bestowed
upon them.
• Sportsmen always consider as paramount the welfare of their dog.
• Sportsmen refuse to embarrass the sport, the American Kennel Club, or themselves while taking

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the
particular variety you are entering, i.e., Coker Spaniel (solid color Black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13
in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.) Dachshunds, (long-haired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white),
Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby,
Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies (rough, smooth).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of
Record and dogs, which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to
a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your
dog is divided, then in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering
your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a
registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which
entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate
indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C.

I (we) acknowledge that the “Rules Applying to Registration and Dog Shows” and, if this entry is for an obedience trial the
“Obedience Regulations,” have been made available to me (us), and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I (we)
waive any and all claims, causes of action, I (we) might otherwise have against the AKC and any AKC approved judge,
judging at this show, under AKC Rules, Regulations and Guidelines. I (We) agree that the club holding this show or
obedience trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the
acceptance of this entry and the holding of the show or obedience trial and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and
to win prize money, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents,
superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned
parties harmless form any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any
person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or obedience trial premises or grounds or near any
entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to
hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise,
and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused
or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any
other person, or any other cause or causes.
I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless
from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the
aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefore, sustained by
any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence
of my (our) participation in this show or obedience trial, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be
caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the
aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons. I (we) hereby assume the sole

INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the
particular variety you are entering, i.e., Coker Spaniel (solid color Black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13
in. over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.) Dachshunds, (long-haired, smooth, wirehaired), Bull Terriers (colored, white),
Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby,
Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard), Collies (rough, smooth).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition; Dogs that are Champions of
Record and dogs, which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to
a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your
dog is divided, then in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering
your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a
registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which
entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate
indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C.
