LCC Scholarship Awarded to Bronti Belanger
A $500 one-time scholarship to
Lansing Community College was
awarded to U-Club Server Bronti
Belanger. This award was made
possible by U-Club members who
contributed in honor of retiring
General Manager, Richard A.
Bruner. Bronti, a Haslett native,
is a sophomore at LCC studying
elementary education. She has
been with the Club since May 2013;
starting in the Maui Beach Snack Bar
before moving inside to become
a banquet server. Six months later, she was promoted to Banquet
Captain. This summer she was trained as a bartender in the service
bar; as a hostess and server in Mingle, and as a poolside cocktail server,
where she spent most of her time. Bronti has earned accolades for her
friendly and professional demeanor in all the areas that she has worked.
Congratulations Bronti [1933]!

I’ve just returned from a three-day retreat with the Club’s seven highly accomplished department heads, each of whom gladly gave up days off and family time
to coalesce and focus on plans for the Club’s future. Our goal was to find ways to
continuously improve the unique array of products, programs, and services you
enjoy from your Club. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and we look
forward to refining our ideas and sharing them with the Club’s committees and
board, and ultimately with you.

momentum going. We have completed nearly $5 million in renovations and improvements with
nominal dues increases and no assessments, and your help in expanding our membership will
enable us to continue this commitment at the lowest possible cost to you. We have created a
stunning environment for your use, both personally and professionally, and look forward to being
of even greater service to you in the future.
