This award was made possible by U-Club members who contributed in honor of retiring General Manager, Richard A. Bruner. Bronti, a Haslett native, is a sophomore at LCC studying elementary education. She has been with the Club since May 2013; starting in the Maui Beach Snack Bar before moving inside to become a banquet server. Six months later, she was promoted to Banquet Captain. This summer she was trained as a bartender in the service bar; as a hostess and server in Mingle, and as a poolside cocktail server, where she spent most of her time. The race was held on September 14 on the Grand River in downtown Lansing. The team placed 8th out of 21 teams in the time trials, which was very respectable for their first time out. Although, their paddles were 'Blazing' during the race, the team fell to the BWL Aqua Avengers by just 1.3 seconds.
