During Spanish Heritage Month, we honor
Hispanic people who have made an impact on
the world in all walks of life. One such person
is Julio Cesar Chávez. Chávez is a famous
boxer born in 1962 in Mexico. He made his
professional debut at the age of 17. During his
career he had 107 win and just 6 losses. His career spanned
25 years and included six world championships at three
different weight divisions. Chávez was known for his
outstanding punching power, body attack, and his “strong
chin.” On December 7th 2010, he was inducted into the
International Boxing Hall of Fame for the class of 2011. He
was ranked 24th on ESPN’s 50 Greatest Boxers Of All Time
and is considered by many to be the greatest fighter to ever
come out of Mexico.

1:00-4:00 PM @ UNO
On Sunday, Oct. 26, the Greater Omaha College Fair
will be held on the UNO campus in the Sapp Field
House from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. This fair is of value to all
college bound high school students - not just seniors!
At the fair, students & parents will be able to gather
information and visit with representatives from over
220 participating colleges & universities. You may
view a list of colleges who will be represented by
going to www.Educationquest.org There will also be
a general session on financial aid.
Visit NebraskaCollegeFairs.org to register for a
barcode. Take the barcode to the College Fair so
college reps can scan it so you won’t need to
complete student information cards.
Attention Juniors & Seniors

will be visiting Millard West.

visits, please follow these steps:
1) Log-in to Naviance
