BREAKTHROUGHNOW
There is an expectancy looming of an enormous
“BREAKTHROUGH” spiritually, emotionally, and
physically. Everyone may not necessarily be sensing
what God is doing, nor by faith, longing for what God
wants to do among us, but there are certainly those
who are praying, fasting, and expecting this
“BREAKTHROUGH” in your life, in your church,
among your brothers and sisters in Christ, and among
your unsaved friends and neighbors.
Isaiah in the Old Testament speaks comfort to the
people of Jerusalem, God’s people, because God had
given him a ‘Word’ for Israel. It was a comforting
Word! A Word that summarized their deliverance –
“her warfare is accomplished,” “her iniquity is
pardoned”. (Isa. 40:2) And then the prophet foretells
of how God will send their “BREAKTHROUGH”.
Chapter 40, verse 3 begins: “The voice of him that
crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our
God.” I believe the Holy Spirit is crying today and
calling for the same alertness and sensitiveness,
expectancy. Isaiah then describes what they can
expect as a result of their ultimate deliverance.
Verse 4-5: “Every valley shall be exalted, and every
mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked
shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:”
What a contrast is to what they were used to and had
experienced for most of their history up to that time.
But then they are promised something even greater
and more significant which was: “And the glory of
the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it
together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.”
Israel’s deliverance came in the person of Jesus
Christ and they, as a nation, did not recognize Him
nor believe Him.
I believe God is “BREAKING THROUGH TO US
TODAY” and I believe we are recognizing HIM in
this very hour, individually and collectively in His
church. We need a “BREAKTHROUGH” and we
need it NOW! However, it will only come to those
who pray for it, long for it, and expect it – NOW!
Jesus came to give it that His glory may be revealed
and that all flesh may experience it – NOW!

District 6…Brother James Gray
Praise the Lord, District 6 has good news to report concerning the offerings received for the April tornado victims
in Lee and Itawamba county Mississippi. In excess of $1800.00 was received from several of the local churches. Some of the
churches worked independently to raise money for the great cause. Every worker deserves a hand-clap of praise for their
involvement. A few chose to help individual households as a ministry outreach. Thank you for your sacrificial giving. Also, we
held a pastors and companions prayer gathering at the local church in Verona with one purpose in mind, to pray for the upcoming
General Assembly. We had eleven in attendance. Always when great prayer is focused toward heaven those who participate are
truly fed from the fountain of life, Jesus Christ our Lord. –Reporter, Diane Thompson
News Release: As of April 2014, I have retired from pastoral work. I am available for ministry at your church. I will teach or
preach and I also use my Power Point Presentations for both. I can also use the Power Point for worship songs if needed. You
can reach me at 601-481-4851. Thank you! –Linda Holcomb
Paducah Wells, MS – We conducted home prayer meetings in August to pray for spiritual growth of the membership and a 10day fast was proclaimed by our pastor. We are seeing a mighty manifestation of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost fell before
Sunday School began and several were in the altar, with one receiving the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues!
Our church also conducted Sunday School at the nursing home each Sunday during the month of August. The church looks so
pretty with new stained glass windows installed in the sanctuary. We are so happy to report they are also paid for! The Women's
Ministry Department had as their outreach project this month, "Caring with Casseroles." The ladies divided into pairs, cooked
casseroles and a salad or dessert and delivered the dishes to those in need. Cancer patients throughout the county were again
included in this project, as well as others in need. Paducah Wells Church proclaimed August 24th as "Caurthylia (Sis) Dahl" Day.
Sister Dahl is the only living Charter member of this church. The church was organized by Brother Afton Newsom in the home of
Sister Dahl's parents. There was a special service on Sunday morning and a reception in the afternoon with family, friends, and
members from other churches attending. We are excited about the work of the church and for the Lord this year and looking
forward to a greater relationship with Him. We will also continue outreach projects to show others the love of Christ and joy of
our salvation! Our homecoming service will be held on September 28th, with Regional Overseer Bishop Hall as our guest
speaker. "Magnolia Gospel" will be singing for us in the afternoon. Come and enjoy this day with us. –Reporter
Union Grove, MS - Several of our members were able to participate in 8 Days of Hope. The organization was here to help with
repairing and the clean-up of homes in the area after the tornado that hit on April 28, 2014. Members that were able to help
testified to the blessings that they received in helping and witnessing to these families. We were blessed to have most of our
youth attend Youth Camp where they were blessed and came back with a stronger need to serve the Lord and help to win others
to Christ. One of our youth, Lindy Abel, was blessed to be selected to travel to Baja, Mexico where she stayed for 8 days
witnessing, teaching, singing and helping to spread the gospel. We as a church family are very proud of all of our youth. We
have also started doing local missions in our area. Several of our young men and women have helped to clean up around a couple
of homes in the neighborhood. This is used as a witnessing and ministering tool. Mikayla Clouse has started a youth LED
Service “Leaders Establishing Dreams”. The youth come together and have their own service and pray and seek the Lord for
guidance in their lives. Bro. Napalo has been preaching powerful messages and the Holy Ghost has been pouring out blessings.
We also helped Bro. Napalo celebrate his birthday with a dinner and fellowship. –Reporter, Sybil Thompson

News…
Greenville, MS – Celebrations began in May, with a service honoring all our dear mothers. One special mother, Sister Ethel
Huddleston, celebrated her 80th birthday. She was honored with a reception. Sister Jackie Bond coordinated a Relay for Life
Program which raises money for the March of Dimes. All who worked on this project made it a great success. Brother Clegg
officiated the wedding of Nick Casevechia. He is the son of Teresa Casevechia and the grandson of Leottis and Johnnie Ruth
Williams. We pray the Lord’s blessings on their marriage. Nick also received his Bachelor’s degree in radiology studies. We
are so proud of another of our youth, Wylie Lee who attends MS Delta Junior College. He won 2nd place in state sheet metal
competition. We celebrated Father’s Day with a special service in honor of our fathers, who display wonderful leadership both
for our church and families. We were sad to say good-bye to one of our young people who moved away. Tyler Johnson has
been a great blessing to us and will be missed. A going away fellowship was given in his honor. Our 4th of July was
celebrated with a patriotic fellowship honoring the military and thanking God for our great country. Our services are filled
with the Spirit; our fellowships are filled with love. We are so thankful for our pastor and his wife, Brother and Sister Clegg.
They lead and direct us in each of these events. We are looking forward to the Lord’s coming! –Reporter, Sherry Ainsworth
Covington, LA – The Lord sent us two new members, Brother and Sister Pettyjohn in April. They are a blessing to us and we
are thankful for them. Jeffery Barbaro (Bean) graduated college in June. Laura Bagwell graduated from High School in May.
We are so proud of both of them. In June, we witnessed as two beautiful children were dedicated to the Lord. Peyton Karter
Thibodeaux, son of Dustin and Destinie and Lorelei Mae Maxwell, daughter of Brian and Samantha. May they always stay in
God’s grace! We are saddened by the death of Sister Donis Quave who passed away on July 21, 2014.
Zion Grove, MS – We recently had a fundraiser “Building for Jesus” sponsored by the youth for a new fellowship hall. They
raised $2027.00. The special speaker, Jacob Pharr, spoke about going “Back to School” and some things the youth must do to
have a good year. We had a good prayer for them. We ask your prayers for many of our members who are very sick. Joe &
Mamie Montgomery welcome a new granddaughter, Joley Beth Montgomery. Proud parents are Daniel & Misty
Montgomery. –Reporter, Zella Grissom
Kosciusko, MS - We were blessed to have Bro. Billy & Sis. Kathy West with us recently. We always look forward to their
visits. Summer went by really fast! Our children and youth are back in school. We pray that they will let their lights shine for
the Glory of The Lord. And that He will keep them protected with His Hand of Mercy. The church enjoyed our "Jean Murren
Day". She will be moving to Georgia to live with her daughter, Teresa. It was also a sad day because we will miss our sweet,
momma Jean. She has been a wonderful blessing and mentor to us for many years. We hope she will be happy in her new
home. We love you Sister Jean. –Reporter, Vicki Steen
Maben, MS - We are happy to say that with God’s help we now have a new metal roof on our church. No more loose
shingles. Our pastor Bro. Sam Edwards went to the International Assembly in Orlando, FL. He said it was a very moving and
spiritual meeting. In July, the Ladies Ministry and two gentlemen had a prayer meeting at the home of two of our members
who are unable to attend church at this time. We are very happy to announce that one of our members Sis. Louise Grimsley
has been set forth as a Lay minister. She filled in for Bro. Edwards while he was in Orlando and did a fine job. However we
were saddened that her brother William Bullock passed away on August 6. The family will be in our prayers. We are happy to
announce that we will be celebrating our homecoming on Sept 28th. We will have special singing by the One Way Quartet
along with our local singers. We would like to invite everyone to come join us for food, fellowship and good old Gospel
singing. –Reporter, Linda Fowler
Hamilton, MS – We had a busy summer. We had 11 attend the Forward Conference in Georgia. It was a blessing! The youth
are already talking about next year. On camp night, we heard many testimonies about what the Lord did during their time at
camp. In July, we had Weird Animals VBS. We learned that Jesus’ love is one-of-a-kind. The kids loved it. We had a
wonderful Ladies Bible study on the Woman at the Well. We pray that all students and teachers have a wonderful school year.
–Reporter, Wendy Smith
Morgan City, LA - Over the summer, I am pleased and overjoyed to report that the Lord has been pouring out his spirit within
our services. 21 joined the church, we saw the hand of the Lord save 26 souls, and in one of our baptismal services there were
23 baptized. After a busy camping season, with our own annual MCFC Family Camp, the family bonds just seem to have
blossomed as the Lord not only blesses our church but individual families as well. The newest project our church has taken to
is reaching the masses through media of different types to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ (#notashamed). We encourage all
to do the same. I pray this praise report was an encouragement you. Jesus Saves! –Reporter, Sara Daigle

October World Missions
In our recent International Assembly
of the Church of God of Prophecy, it
was a beautiful sight indeed to watch
the Parade of Nations at the beginning
of Saturday evening’s service. The
Parade of Nations, as many of you
know, is the marching display of the
flags of the nations around the world
where the Church of God of Prophecy
is established and engaged in the endtime harvest of souls. This past year
the church was established in yet
another nation giving us a total of 133
nations where the church is actively
engaged in God’s harvest. To Him be
all the glory and praise!
October of each year we place
emphasis on Global Missions and
focus on raising funds to help reach
into the darkest corners of the world
to rescue souls from the powers of the
devil. This world indeed is dark but
the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus
Christ brings light and liberation to
otherwise bound and hurting people
blinded from the truth. The gospel of
Jesus opens those blinded eyes that
they may see and believe in Him.
Again this October, we want to do our
best as we focus on the Global
Harvest. As we work together –
collectively in each local church and
trust God, He will surely provide the
funds necessary for such a time as
this. What we can do individually or
even in a given local church may
seem very small in comparison to the
needs around the world, but “Little is
much when God is in it.” The one
who can extend a hand-full of meal to
last three years (1 Kings 17) can
multiply our giving to meet the most
immediate harvesting needs.
Our local churches throughout the
region have always been faithful in
giving to missions. I commend you
one and all for your dedication to God
and your deep love for souls. When
Jesus comes I pray, He will find us all
“In the Harvest Fields.” –H. Wayne
