setting at the edge of the town in Ruosniemi, Pori. We have
extensive show gardens as well as a plant nursery and a
perennial plant shop.
Our two-acre gardens showcase a plethora of examples on
what to build in your own garden, including patios, pergolas,
water features, lounging areas etc.

Natural crafts in the beautiful ice-age sculpted Hiittenharju
ridge landscape. The Hiittenharju ridge used to be an island
right after the ice-age and you can still spot the old shores of
the Littorina Sea. There are also plenty of stone and bronze
age dwelling and grave sites on the ridge. The medieval
Huovintie route to Turku passed through the ridge.
We will craft a small lucky charm out of natural or recycled
materials during the trip.

We will leisurely bike to the river Kaasmarkunjoki nature trail
and an old mill. We continue on to the Leineperi ironworks
to have coffee in the traditional Savipakari café. After the
trip everybody can help to prepare a scrumptious game or a
fish meal that we will enjoy in a beautiful natural setting. To
conclude the experience we will have a campfire coffee.
You can go to a sauna and stay overnight in picturesque sauna
cabins or experience the closeness of nature to the fullest and
feel the soothing and health enhancing effect it has on you by
sleeping in a paired lean-to in real wilderness style.

We will explore a beautiful herb-rich forest and the buildings
and pine forest surroundings of the Satalinna hospital. There
are a multitude of plants and animals in the herb-rich forest.
The nature trail follows the undulating River Kokemäki and if
we are lucky, we may catch a sight of a king fisher nesting on
the sand banks.

A guide will lead us to a 3 km hiking trip along duck boards to
experience the unique natural landscape of Finnish mires on
Puurijärvi-Isosuo mire, which is one of the largest and most
extensive mire areas in Southern Finland situated along the
river Kokemäenjoki.
There is a nationally important bird habitat lake Puurijärvi
as well as five large mire areas: Korkeasuo, Isosuo, Aronsuo,

Archipelago trip to Baltic Sea
After a delicious Mariners buffet in the historical
Mäntyluodon Hotelli we will depart on a boat to the
