Horwitz Campaign Contributions
(Windsor, ON; October 16, 2014)—As the loudest and strongest proponent for transparency and
accountability in the mayoral race, Larry Horwitz is pleased to release the list of his campaign
contributors. Horwitz was the first mayoral candidate to:

Call for the reinstatement of the Office of the Auditor General

Demand a value-for-money audit of EnWin

Pledge to reduce utility bills

Release a detailed Job Creation Plan

Issue a comprehensive Quality of Life Plan

Commit to keeping our neighbourhood pools and parks open

Demonstrate his commitment to Arts, Culture and Heritage; and to nurturing an
environment rich in artistic innovation and growth

Present an Age-Friendly Windsor Plan
At the beginning of his campaign, mayoral candidate Larry Horwitz made a conscious decision not
to actively fundraise for his election campaign. Horwitz stated that he’s passionate about the City
and did not want to be, or to be perceived as having been, beholden to any special interest groups,
organizations and individuals. While Horwitz has received wide support, he has chosen to step up
and finance most of his own campaign.
"The taxpayers of Windsor can be confident that I represent all of Windsor and that I am not
beholden to anyone—an assertion that Dilkens and Millson cannot make no matter how they try to
spin it,” Horwitz said in a news release. “There are approximately 149,000 voters in Windsor, am I
supposed to be impressed that 200 of those voters have financed the other candidates? I am
representing the other 148,800 voters who don’t have a voice and who cannot afford to make
campaign donations because they can’t even pay their utility bills.”
