Our Summer Theatre Season is fast approaching
and ticket sales go from strength to strength already
beating all previous records so we advise you to book
as soon as possible if you haven’t already done so.
Due to phenomenal demand for tickets for our late
summer show Sister Act we have added a further
week to the run and these seats are already selling
very quickly.
We also reveal a fantastic lineup for our Live at
Kilworth at the theatre which this year runs from 16th
- 27th July. As always we offer an eclectic mix of great
bands, comedy and classical music so there is a chance
for everybody to experience the unique atmosphere
of a live concert at Kilworth on a warm July evening.
Following the huge success of ‘Festive Favourites’ in the
Orangery last year we are delighted to announce that we
will be welcoming the fabulous close harmony group
The Spinettes for our 2014 show. You can ﬁnd further
details on page 8 and we are now open for bookings
through our Box Ofﬁce only.
Our full Christmas programme is also featured in this
newsletter and, because so many dates sell out very
quickly, it’s always best to book as early as possible to
be sure of getting the date you want.
You will also ﬁnd details of our ever popular Jazz
Evenings and Murder Mystery events in the Orangery.

Box ofﬁce sales continue to break all records with a phenomenal
total of close to 35,000 tickets sold for both shows at the time of
going to press.
If you intend to book for the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein
musical South Paciﬁc but have not yet done so we advise you to do
so quickly as we had sold 80% of all tickets by the end of March
and tickets are still selling quickly. The show is cast and rehearsals
start in London at the end of April for what is going to be a truly
memorable show.
Our late summer show Sister Act has proved to be such a hit with
you all that we have added an extra week to the run.
Sister Act will now run from August 26th until September 21st.

We are delighted to present on the following
pages a wonderful variety of shows for Live at
Kilworth which this year runs from 16-27 July.
Appearing at Kilworth for the ﬁrst time we welcome
legendary former Mike and the Mechanics and
Squeeze singer and musician Paul Carrack. For
classical fans we have a new Viennese Strauss Gala
with the 38 piece British Philharmonic Concert
Orchestra and country lovers should not miss the
excellent Johnny Cash Roadshow.
Regulars such as Björn Again,The Manfreds,Talon,
One Night of Queen and, of course, Ken Dodd
make welcome returns to Kilworth in what is one
of our best lineups ever.
Lizzi Hills and Ian Gareth
Jones ﬁrst met when
they both appeared
in our production of
Guys and Dolls in 2010.
The following year Ian
proposed to Lizzi on the
stage at Kilworth between shows when he was
appearing in The Pirates of Penzance.
They married in September the following year and
are delighted to announce that Ellis Grace Jones
made her entrance into the world on 8th November
2013 weighing in at 8lbs 1oz. We are all over the
moon to welcome Ellis Grace to the Kilworth
House Theatre family and hope that she may follow
in the theatrical footsteps of her parents and appear
on the Kilworth stage sometime in the future.

We are delighted to have chosen the Rainbows
Children’s Hospice as our charity for 2014.
Please help us to raise
money for this excellent
organisation by supporting
one of our organised charity
events during the year.
Our 2013 year of fundraising for LOROS ended
with the presentation of a cheque for £43,710
to Diane Morris LOROS Fundraising Manager.
Over the past two years we raised a total of over
£103,000 to support the wonderful work that
LOROS does each year providing hospice care for
the people of Leicestershire and Rutland.
This money was raised from a series of events and
fundraising initiatives at the Hotel and Theatre, we
thank everyone who contributed and for helping us
to support this important cause.
