Patrick (8) attended three services, and loved them. His mother says that in three wweks he has grown not only physically, but in confidence and maturity. He enjoyed learning about his place in both our extended and our church families, and we thank you for the memories of fun and love he has taken back to Australia - including the long 'Amen'! 'NOT WANTED' BOARD Thanks to Chris and Val Jones for this new fundraising initiative! We have put a 'Not Wanted' Board on the Uganda noticeboard for you to advertise any items that you no longer want, but that you think someone else may like to buy with the proceeds divided between our 2 Uganda charities. All you need to do is pin up a notice giving a description & suggested price of the item you no longer want and include your name and contact number. If you would like to buy an item from this board, simply contact the person and arrange to see/buy the item and pass any payment to either Terry Game or Gill Robinson and all monies raised will be divided equally between both charities. Full instructions are on the board in the foyer. Donations for the Foodbank. New Wine Leadership Conference is coming to Bristol in 2015!, 11-13 March, Woodlands Christian Centre We will be focusing on encountering the presence of God and equipping local churches to transform our nation. Join us for an amazing opportunity to worship and encounter God, have Biblical truths unpacked in relevant ways for leaders, be challenged afresh on Biblical leadership teaching and principles, and spend time with your staff team and meet other like-minded leaders in your region. Tickets are £55 before 20 January 2015, and go up to £70 after that. For more information, including an under 30 rate and a list of local speakers, visit the new wine website. LOVE IN A BOX Again it is time to think about our shoe box collection for Christmas for the children of eastern Europe. There are leaflets available in church giving all the details. If you would like to help but don't feel you could fill a complete box, individual items would be very welcome, or a financial contribution towards the transportation costs. The final Sunday for donating will be 23rd November. For more details, please see Marilyn Barrow. Thank you very much. 4 When you shop at Tesco you can place the items in the box once you have paid for them. Tesco give Foodbank an added financial contribution based on the volume of donations in the store collection box (a bit like gift aid), and you don't have to deliver the items somewhere else. Not shopping at Tesco but still want to donate - bring the items to Christchurch and they will be taken to the Foodbank. Please only put items bought at Tesco in the Tesco collection box though. Many thanks for your continued support of local families in crisis. TRAIDCRAFT will be on sale after the service on the first Sunday in November and December. Apart from the usual Traidcraft products including tea, coffee, sugar, dried fruit, chocolate, jam, marmalade, honey etc I will have some new products including Traidcraft's new range of cleaning products 'Clean & Fair' which is the first household cleaning range to carry the fairtrade mark.
