EXOTHERMIC - INSULATING COVERING COMPOUND FOR NON - FERROUS METALS
DESCRIPTION
LUNKERIT LM 20 is an exothermic - insulating covering powder for non – ferrous metals
and its alloys with lower casting temperatures (aluminum, copper and its alloys).
ACTION
In contact with molten metal in a feeder or in an ingot head the LUNKERIT LM 20 reacts
exothermally and transfer the heat into the feeder. The remainder after the combustion is
highly porous and assures excellent insulating properties. The yield of feeder is optimal
without secondary shrinkage cavity. In comparison with standard insulating compounds the
consumption per cm 2 is lower for 50%.
PACKING
LUNKERIT LM 20 is packed in polyethylene bags at net 2, 3, 5 kg each or according to the
customer requests. Polyethylene bags are placed in cartons at net 750 kg each. It is
transported on pallets. Manner of packing can be also adapted according to the customer
requests in accordance with safety regulations.
STORING AND TRANSPORT
LUNKERIT LM 20 must be stored in dry stores in the original package.
According to the European regulations for international road transport of dangerous goods,
LUNKERIT LM 20 is not a dangerous substance.
