METHOD OF PAYMENT: The entry fee is NZ$75 per person includes complimentary practice round, welcome function, and 3 rounds of 9 holes. Cheques payable
to Bay of Islands Golf Club, Kerkeri. Entries received without payment will not be accepted. Entries will only be refunded, less an administration fee, in the case of a

Overview
Tournament Conditions
The Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri, endorsed by New Zealand
Golf Inc, welcome all club members, aged 40 and over to join them
in the inaugural New Zealand 9-Hole Masters Tournament. The
27-hole Tournament will be played over 3 days, with 9-holes stableford
competition scheduled on Thursday 06, Friday 07 and Saturday 08
November, 2014. Players and partners are invited to attend a Welcome
Function on Wednesday 05 November and a finale’ Farewell and Prize
Giving ceremony is scheduled after play on Saturday 08 November.
Eligibility
Players must be over 40 years of age as at the first day of the
Tournament. All players must have a valid handicap and be financial
members of an accredited golf club. Only amateur golfers are eligible
to enter. Players must also comply with the entry requirements as
listed in clause 4 Entries.
The Tournament is open to all affiliated golfers, men and women, be
they 9 hole or 18 hole members. This is in line with the NZ Golf and
DotGolf’s modification that all affiliated golfers will have one handicap
recorded. Men and women will be split into divisions by handicap, with
prizes awarded daily with an overall winners trophy table by division.
The final divisions will be announced when entries are closed with a
minimum of two men’s and two women’s divisions being announced.
Field size is limited to the first 200 paid entries.

Format
The Tournament will be played at the Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri.
The field will be restricted to the first 200 paid entries. Players will be
split into two divisions, or more, depending on the final field size, men
and women by handicap.
Entries
All entries must be on the official entry form, complete with full
Tournament entry fee payment. (NB – additional travel and other
arrangements will be priced and invoiced separately). Late entries
may be accepted with a late entry fee of $20. Scoring records of
all entries will be reviewed for authenticity through the New Zealand
Golf Handicapping website. Overseas players are to provide a Club
signed official handicap certificate (or provide the necessary web site
access to your handicap records if your country lists on the web site).
Refunds will only be issued for Tournament entries where a player has
to withdraw, if received in writing by the closing date of entries, 24
October, 2014 less an administration fee.
Registration
Players must register in person at The Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri
from 1.00pm onwards at the times prescribed in the programme.
Practice Times
Practice times can be requested for Wednesday 05 November, 2014.
Alternative practice times will not be complimentary and will be
charged at normal green fee rates.
Handicaps
All handicaps are frozen for the Tournament. The Tournament
committee reserves the right to adjust handicaps from different
countries in line with the New Zealand system.
Rules of Play
The Rules of Play shall be the Rules of Golf as approved by the R & A
Limited, together with the Local Rules as drawn up by the Tournament
Committee.
Golf Balls
It is a condition of the Tournament that only those balls published in
the current list of Conforming Golf Balls issued by the R & A may be
used in the Tournament. The penalty for the use of a brand not listed
is disqualification.

Motorised Vehicles
During play it is prohibited for a player to ride in or on a motorised
vehicle, unless granted permission by the Tournament Committee.
Please apply with a valid medical certificate. Penalty 2 strokes in
stroke play for each hole where a breach occurs.
Pace of Play Guideline
Competitors will be issued with a Pace of Play guideline. It covers your
responsibility to retain your place in the field, and an indication of how
long you have to play shots. The penalties indicated in the policy will
be enforced.
Measuring Devices
In this competition a player may obtain distance information by using
a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated
round, a player uses a distance measuring device that is designed
to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play
(e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach
of Rule 14-3 for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of
whether any such additional functions are actually used.
Code of Conduct
All competitors are responsible for conducting themselves to the high
standard expected at New Zealand Golf or Bay of Islands Golf Club
Kerikeri events.
Publicity
The Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri, PaR nz Golfing Holidays or New
Zealand Golf Inc may arrange media promotion and publicity before,
during and after the Tournament. Competitors assent to references
to them and pictures of them appearing and being used for purposes
determined by The Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri, PaR nz Golfing
Holidays or New Zealand Golf Inc.
Tournament Committee
The New Zealand 9-Hole Masters Tournament shall be under
the management and control of the 9-Hole Masters Tournament
Committee, comprising of the Tournament Director, Rules Liaison and
a representative from the Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri, whose
decision on all matters relating to the Tournament shall be final. The
Tournament Committee will decide all disputes, will be responsible
for all arrangements and reserve the right to change any Tournament
condition, starting time or alter the order of events.
Insurance
All competitors participating in the 2014 New Zealand 9-Hole Masters
Tournament do so at their own risk; the Tournament Committee, The
Bay of Islands Golf Club Kerikeri, PaR nz Golfing Holidays, sponsors,
host golf clubs and other suppliers of goods or services accept no
liability for any death, injury, property loss or damage incurred during
or arising out of any aspect of the conduct of the Tournament. It
is advised that all international visitors have full medical and travel
insurance to cover all eventualities.
