The result is the Gabbia lamp. The designers were inspired by a simple woven basket, and this led them to create a new form. The lamp is made in a small bamboo basket-weaving village which specializes in small scale objects. The designers believe that the small production of handcrafted items is a process to be taken into consideration in the upcoming economical future. In the context of a society that increasingly values handmade, zero environmental impact products, the synergies created between designers and craftsmen are also increasingly essential.
