The Parish of St George with St Luke

Last Sunday After Trinity
Blessed Lord, who caused all holy
Scriptures to be written for our
learning: help us so to hear them, to
read, mark, learn and inwardly
digest them that, through patience,
and the comfort of your holy word,
we may embrace and for ever hold
fast the hope of everlasting life,
which you have given us in our
Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal 2014
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD sends a message of
hope to children in desperate situations around the
world through gift-filled boxes & Christian literature.
The programme provides an opportunity for
individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple
hands-on project that reaches out to suffering children while focusing on
the true meaning of Christmas – Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift.
A leaflet providing information about the project, including a list of items
which can be included, is available at the back of church.
You are invited to bring your gift-filled shoe boxes to the
TEAM SERVICE at St George’s on SUNDAY 16 NOVEMBER.
