Los Angeles, 23 October 2014 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles
hosted a dinner reception on 30 April 2014 in honor of the Philippine National
Police participants of the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course
(PSOSEC) Class 2014-89 and 90. The PNP-PSOSEC Class is headed by Police
Chief Superintendent Romeo Magsalos. Their counterparts from the Los Angeles
Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also attended the reception.
The PSOSEC participants numbering 38 are in Los Angeles for a training program
to enhance the participants’ competence level in preparation for their assumption
to higher command positions in provincial, regional and national levels in the
Philippine National Police.
This partnership between the PNP and the FBI is on its 9th year. It has deepened
the law-enforcement cooperation between the Philippines and the U.S. This is the
2nd batch for year 2014 received by the Philippine Consulate General in Los
Angeles. In April this year 36 participants came to Los Angeles under the same
