Flint YMCA Falcons 2014 Fall Classic Swim Meet Saturday, November 8, 2014 Date and Time: Saturday, November 8, 2014 Morning Session: Warm-up 8:00 am Start 9:00 am Afternoon Session: Warm-up 12:00 pm Start 1:00 pm (Estimated) Location: Waterford – Mott High School 1151 Scott Lake Road Waterford, Michigan 48328 Facilities: Waterford Mott Pool has an eight lane, 25-yard competitive pool for lap swimming. There is elevated seating for 400 spectators located on two sides of the competition pool. The Pool also has handicapped accessible ramps. A Colorado timing system with an 8-lane scoreboard and manual back-up timers will be used for all events. A second pool will be available for continuous warm-up during events. Locker room facilities are available, but swimmers must provide their own locks. Flint YMCA Falcons and Waterford Mott High School are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property. For the safety of all those attending the swim meet, no one will be allowed to roam outside the pool area around the school facilities. Eligibility: This meet is open to all swimmers meeting the YMCA requirements; the swimmer’s age is determined by their age on December 1, 2014. Rules: This meet will be swum in accordance with USS meet procedures. All YMCA guidelines and regulations covering warm-ups and deck personnel will be followed. Entry Limits: Swimmers may enter a maximum of four individual events. The Flint Y Falcons reserve the right to limit entries if required due to time constraints. Entry Fees: Individual Events.......................................................$4.00 Relay Events.............................................................$12.00 (Relays are chosen by coaches, and paid for by BBD Boosters) Entry Deadline: Entries must be received no later than Thursday, October 30, 2014. We will not be able to accept late entries. Entry Chair: Andrea Farr at [email protected] Deck Entries: Deck entries to fill open lanes will be accepted until 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. New heats will not be added. Deck entries are $5.00 per individual event. Seeding: This meet will be pre-seeded. All events are timed finals and will be seeded slowest to fastest according to the times submitted. Marshaling: Morning sessions will be assisted self-marshaled. Afternoon sessions will be self-marshaled. Awards: Awards will be given in the 8-and-Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-and-Over age groups for places 1-12 in individual events and places 1-6 in relays Deck Personnel: Only swimmers, coaches, and meet workers are allowed on deck. Admission: Adults: $3.00. Swimmers and Children 6-and-Under are Free Heat Sheets: A seeded program will be sold for $3.00. Concessions: Food and beverages will be available in an adjacent hallway. Results: Results will be posted in the hallway near the spectator area during the meet. All participating teams will receive an electronic copy of the meet results. Individual copies will be available for $5.00. Meet results will also be posted on the Flint Falcon website: www.flintfalcons.org Swimmers with Disabilities: We encourage participation. Please indicate on the entry forms the appropriate age group in which they should participate. Please advise the Referee during warm-ups. First Aid: Available at the announcer’s table on deck. Lost & Found: The lost and found is located at the entrance to the pool. The Meet Director will keep lost and found items for two weeks after the meet. Any remaining items will be donated to charity after the two week time period. Other Information: No smoking is allowed in Waterford Schools. No glass is permitted on deck. Swimmers are requested not to use any body oil or rub down substances.
