assessed the progress of
investigations into it.

the house at Khagragarh
where the blast took place
on October 2, police said.
Doval and the three top
officials visited the room
where the blast occurred,
during which two suspected terrorists were also
killed.
They also went to the
room which had served as
the laboratory of the suspected terrorists and
climbed the roof top of the
house to check the visibility of surrounding areas.

Yadav recently sacked 82
persons enjoying rank of
minister in the state, but
later re-instated a dozen of
them.
Security,
residential
facilities and salaries have
been withdrawn of these
persons, both of Cabinet
and Minister of State status,
who were either chairman
or vice-chairman or advisor
to the government institutions and departments.
UP Government has
given no reason for the
sacking of these persons,
who are mostly senior leaders and supporters of the
ruling Samajwadi Party.
Meanwhile, UP BJP said
that sacking of these persons was just an eye-wash
and demanded a probe into
the working of these sacked
ministers.
Although it seems that
controversy leading to

media, Mishra said that
the government had
taken the Burdwan blast
seriously and described it
as an "issue of terror".
"The investigation to
Burdwan blast will be
taken to its logical end,"
he promised, adding that
the Centre and the state
were together on the issue
of fighting terrorism.
"Very senior officers of
both the Centre and the
state are here. We have
resolved to work together
on this issue," he said.
Asked what prompted
NSA Doval's visit to West
Bengal, Mishra said, "He
is a senior police officer.
He is here to give a professional touch to the
blast investigation."
To another question, he
said, "We are also here for
improving the capacity of
the West Bengal Police
and security agencies to
handle this kind of situation."
Earlier in the day, the
NSA visited the blast site
in Burdwan and assessed
the progress of the investigation.

Two killed
in clash

TWO persons were killed,
and one was injured, and at
least five housed gutted in
a clash between Trinamool
Congress and BJP supporters today at Makra village
in Birbhum district.
The two were injured by
bullets fired from countrymade guns in the two-hour
clash and succumbed to
their injuries at a hospital,
hospital sources said.
However, no one was
arrested as yet in connection with the clash.
Trading charges, ruling
Trinamool Congress and
BJP have blamed each
other for the violence,
police said.

of Parui police station was
attacked during a raid on
October 24.

2014, as per the demand of
the state farmers to get the
targeted
agriculture
growth in Rabi season.
The UP CM has
demanded 8.50 lakh metric
tonnes of urea immediately, in which 4.50 lakh
tonnes would be rewired
in the cooperative sector
and remaining four lakh
tonnes in the private sector.
The letter dispatched
today to the PM said that
due to shortage in supply
of fertilizers by the central
agencies, the state farmers
are facing problem in sowing their crops. Against the
demand of 38 lakh tonnes
of urea, the Centre has
only sanctioned 35 lakh
tonnes, lending to a shortfall of three lakh metric
tones, UP CM claimed.
The state government
has decided to store two
lakh tonnes of urea for
emergency while during
the Rabi season in 2014-15,
in the month of October,
there is a requirement of
6.50 lakh tonnes of urea, of
which 50 per cent would
be allotted for distribution
in for cooperative sector.

A 31-member delegation
from Thailand will present
a bronze Buddha statue to
a monastery in Darjeeling
as part of a philanthropic
endeavour.
Darjeeling Eastern Himalayan Buddhist Cultural
Association (DEHBCA)
spokesman S L Palzor said,
"One of our members in
Delhi was informed about
some
people
from
Thailand
wanting
to
donate a statue of Buddha.
He referred the name of
Dichen TashiCholing Gumba located at Gopal
Dhura in Singtam, Darjeeling which was then
endorsed by the Indian
Ambassador to Thailand".
"The presentation is
being coordinated by Himalayan Buddhist Cultural
Association," said Palzor.

toward completion and
will be ready by 2022.

ISKCON's
FounderAcharya Srila Prabhupada
in 1972.
"The temple would be
unique as it would not only
house the planetarium that
would speak secret of
Vedas but it would have a
hall on 1.5 acre area where
10,000 devotees can pay
their obeisance at a time,"
Alfred Ford, grandson of
iconic American industrialist Henry Ford and the
president of the temple
construction committee,
told reporters here
The Temple of Vedic
Planetarium will also
describe all the physical
details of the Universe and
their relationship with
God. "It would encourage a
sense of wonder in the creation and in the hand
behind it," he said, adding
that the temple would be
completed by 2022.
Ford, who has invested
Rs 200 crores in this temple
project, is here in the city to
participate in the religious
rituals related to the auspicious 'Kartik' month.
"Though my wife is
from a Brahmin family of
West BengaI, I opted
Vaishnav Dharma after
taking 'Deeksha' (consecration) from my preceptor
Prabhupada in the year
1972. In order to obey the
commandment made by
my preceptor I invested Rs
200 crores in this temple,"
he said.
Prabhupada defined the
size and design details of
temple and town. "He also
purchased the land, laid
the cornerstone and left the
royalties from his numerous books to help fund
needed for construction.
Since he gave his disciples
the task of completing the
Mayapur project and the
temple I am honouring the
wishes of my spiritual
teacher," Ford said.
Mayapur has become a
symbol of harmony where
without distinction of
caste, creed and colour,
three thousand devotees
from 32 countries under
the banner of Krishna
Bhakti, propagate the message of the Bhagwad
Geeta.
