QBE Insurance Malaysia appoints Cherie Foong as Head of Marine
QBE Insurance Malaysia announces the appointment of Cherie Foong Au Khuan to the role of Head of
Marine with effect from 1 October 2014.
Cherie Foong is responsible for the profitable growth of QBE’s marine portfolio in Malaysia. She will be
working closely with brokers and specialist agents to drive the business growth.
Leo Zanolini, Chief Executive Officer, QBE Malaysia said, “I am delighted to welcome Cherie to the

rich experience in marine insurance will be beneficial to our business growth.”
Prior to joining QBE, Cherie has had 20 years of industry experience involving various roles in agency
marketing, branches operations and reinsurance. For the last 12 years Cherie has been with ACE
Insurance Malaysia, as their Head of Marine, growing their book profitably from GWP MYR2million to
MYR30million.
