BELLEVUE FISH & LOAVES is asking for your help in
providing a special holiday meal for their clients in the Bellevue
school district at Thanksgiving. It will be distributed on
Monday, November 24th. Their holiday meal will consist of:
turkey, canned vegetables (corn, green beans or peas) canned
fruit (peaches, pears or fruit cocktail) eggs, margarine, sweet
potatoes, dinner rolls, stuffing mix, pies and cranberry sauce.
They are asking for food items and/or cash donations to help
offset the cost of the holiday meal. Food items can be brought to
church and left in the Fish & Loaves baskets by the candle room.
Checks made payable to Fish & Loaves can be sent to P.O. Box
121, Bellevue.
THIRTIETH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
The St. Vincent de Paul Society will have a collection
after Communion at all Masses this weekend, October 25
and 26. There has been a greater demand of assistance
for rent and utilities with the current economic situation.
Please be as generous as you have in the past. Psalm
41: 1-2 “Blessed is he who considers the poor!”
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Our principal
Catholic belief is the Real Presence of Christ in the
Holy Eucharist.
Eucharistic Adoration gives
Catholics the opportunity to visit Jesus in the
Blessed Sacrament. Many have found that one
hour with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the most
peaceful and satisfying hour of their day. Jesus invites us
to do so: “Come with me all you who are weary and
burdened. Come to me and I will refresh you.” Come as
you are. Bring the kids; Jesus loves little children! Stay
for five minutes, or for the whole hour. Just come!
Eucharistic Adoration is scheduled for Tuesday, October
28th from 9am to 6:00pm.

basketball court. Please do not drop papers off until the
dates and times scheduled.
MESSAGE FROM FATHER JONATHAN
Dear Parishioners,
Please do plan on coming to St. Paul, Norwalk, to meet our
new bishop, this Wednesday, October 29. Bishop Thomas
will lead evening prayer at 7:00 p.m. in the church and then
be at a reception in the attached Gathering Space. Also plan
on coming to our annual Fall Fun Night next Saturday,
November 1, following the 4:30 p.m. Mass. This is a great
time in our gym as well as a major fundraiser for us. Please
note that the Solemnity of All Saints, November 1, is NOT a
holy day of obligation this year as it falls on Saturday. We
will follow our regular weekend schedule and celebrate the
feast of All Souls at the weekend Masses. We especially
remember all our parishioners who have died since last
November. Eternal rest grant unto them, Oh, Lord, and let
perpetual light shine upon them.
Fr. Jonathan
Baskets Wanted: The 5th Annual Fall Fun Night will
be Saturday, November 1st after the 4:30pm Mass.
We are looking for families, friends and groups to get
together and donate a themed basket for our basket raffle.
Please call Jenny Wells at 419-483-7173 if you would like to
donate a basket.

“Out of Egypt I Have Called My Son” – The last session of
Msgr. Ken Morman’s fall Scripture courses on the Pentateuch
at Norwalk St. Paul will be devoted to an introduction to the
third and largest cycle of narratives in this collection, namely,
the Exodus Narratives, comprising the entire books of Exodus
through Numbers, plus Deuteronomy. As always, bring a
Bible and join us in the Gathering Space of the church on
Thursday, October 30th from 7 to 9pm for a study and
appreciation of such stories as the account of the burning bush,
the ten plagues, the crossing of the sea, the covenant at Mount
Sinai and so on.
