John has a mighty fine, 1979 Guild G 312 for sale. Yes, a 12 string. A Venerable 12 string. Made in Westerly,
Rhode Island. Contact John at 778-867-7851 or [email protected]
Joel has a 1969 D28 Brazilian for sale. He obviously loves his instruments. The D28 is in awesome condition. It’s
had a neck reset, been re-fretted and outfitted with a new bridge. The Brazilian rosewood is nicely figured. One, 3”
crack in the upper bout, treble side has been repaired (this seems to be a common issue; my D35 had the same
thing. Some blame the pick guard.) With Calton case.
Joel also has a 1966 Gibson LG1. He’s had the old, cheap adjustable bridge replaced with a “real” bridge (see, I
told you loves these instruments).
Joel’s in Bellingham but wanders north every once in a while. Contact him at 360-7781601 [email protected] to discuss these beauties.
Paul is putting his upright bass up for sale. Great sounding stand-up bass made by Strunal of the Czech Republic.
Sells at Long & McQuade for $2400 to $2500. Asking $1699. Can view on Craigslist Victoria
at:http://victoria.en.craigslist.ca/msg/4543346595.html. Or on UsedVictoria. Excellent condition, very minor marks.
Set up professionally with bridge and sound pole adjustments, and high quality strings. For great added value, it
comes with a Fishman pickup on the bridge, for amplifying. Soft case and bow included. Served me well for
bluegrass, swing, folk, country etc. but I am not playing it now. More on Strunal instruments at:
http://www.strunal.cz/?xSET=lang&xLANG=2
Also, it is time for Paul to pass along his square grand piano, to a good home. This is free, although you would pay
to move it and tune it. With full restoration these antiques can be worth a lot. You need a very, very large space of
course.
