ST. PAUL’S PARISH
An Invitation To: All of God’s People at St. Paul’s Church
From: Father John Potaczek
Re: Remembering our loved ones beyond death
The month of November is a time when we as church people
remember our beloved relatives, friends and parishioners who
have passed through the doors of death and now live the other
side of life. Here at St. Paul’s, we will be offering Prayers
during our Masses for the month of November for our beloved
dead, our saints. If you wish to have your deceased loved
ones included in these Prayers, please return the form below
to the parish rectory or drop it in the collection.
Please remember the following loved ones in prayer during
Masses in the month of November.

WHAT’S ON THE PASTORS MIND
Next week looks a little medical to me. On Tuesday I will
be at Sacred Heart for most of the day for the Ethics
Symposium with Cardinal George. He will be one of the
main speakers. A topic he will be covering is death and
dying according to God's plan. Considering that he has
had cancer a number of times it would seem he has
been there and can clearly talk about what he has
experienced. On Thursday is the blood drive at St. Paul.
I hope that you can be a part of that. What a great way
to make a difference for someone. That is a gift of hope
to those in need. A true gift from the heart. These
moments call us to consider how we treat the sick and
those with chronic conditions. Do we pray for the sick?
Are we willing to give time to visit family who may not be
able to get out anymore? We are not numbers! We are
not an expense that someone has to figure out how to
pay for. Perhaps we should go in for that physical we
have been putting off. Perhaps we need to put ourselves
in someone else's shoes. Caring for the sick is a
corporeal work of mercy, do we live that one out with
joy? Let us examine our spiritual life and listen to the
Divine Physician in our prayers to His call to spiritual
health.
