Major in
Communication Studies
BARUCH COLLEGE, CUNY
Communication
Studies
is an academic and professional field of study that focuses on how people use
messages to generate meaning in interpersonal, organizational, intercultural,
public, and technologically mediated contexts. Since our political, economic,
and social lives depend more and more on the ways we communicate, and as
our culture and the challenges we face become more
global in scope, the study of communication is
becoming increasingly important. No wonder
communication skills now consistently rank
highest among the capabilities that
employers seek in job candidates.
