ROBERT PERCIVAL GREENWOOD
PROFESSOR OF ACCOUNTING
Bob Greenwood was born and educated in Hong Kong; and in addition to being a FCPA,
FIPA, FAIA, FFA and FCIM, completed his Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees from
Hull, Manchester and Salford
Bob has worked in industry as an Accountant, in Universities for over 25 year and has held
positions as a Deputy Head of a Business School and as Vice Chairman of Council for the
Institute of Financial Accountants
Bob has extensive international consultancy experience in Higher Education, having
successfully developed and established Collaborative Partnerships for Undergraduate and
Postgraduate Degrees in Hong Kong, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Zimbabwe and
Zambia. In addition, Bob has worked on World Bank Projects in Turkey and DFID projects in
the Czech Republic
Bob has authored several accounting textbooks published by Gower and the Association of
International Accountants and numerous research papers published by IFAC, Journal of
Enterprising Culture and the Czech Management Centre
Bob has been awarded two Professorships by Chinese Universities in recognition of his
development of accounting education and joint research within these Universities
Bob is on the Editorial Advisory Boards for the Asia Pacific Management Accounting Journal
and the International Journal of Applied Financial and Management Control
Bob was a former Subject Specialist Reviewer for the UK Quality Assurance Agency and has
been an External Examiner for Accounting and Business Degrees at Manchester Metropolitan
University, Open Learning University in Hong Kong, Leeds Metropolitan University and
Southampton Solent University
Bob’ s current activities involve teaching on a Global MBA for Executives and other Degree
programmes with various UK Universities
Bob’ s research interests include Financial Management and Control and has supervised 7
PhD’ s and 2 DBA’ s to successful completion
