ABSANZ 4th Annual Conference, Sydney Australia Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, 3 – 7 November 2014 CONFERENCE PROGRAM Monday 3rd November For full details on Workshops/Tours please see our workshop and tour program [click here] Room: Hobart Workshop #1 – Biosafety Leadership (2 Days) Day 1 of a two-day workshop featuring Robert Ellis (Colorado State University, USA) & Sean Kaufman (Emory University, Atlanta, USA). 9:00am 5:00pm Biosafety officers face several organisational challenges. Long hours, short deadlines, and limited resources produce unmanageable situations which biosafety officers must overcome. These situations influence safety practices and require the biosafety officer not only to remain engaged at all times but to build partnerships that foster a culture of safety. This workshop, modelled on the successful Biosafety Leadership course offered by the American Biosafety Association (ABSA), is designed to foster leadership skills and abilities which are increasingly needed for today’s biosafety practitioner. The presenters are the ones that run the course for ABSA. – Download presenter profiles [ click here] Tuesday 4th November 2014 (Melbourne Cup Day) Workshop #1 – Biosafety Leadership (2 Days) 9.00am – 5:00pm Room: Hobart Day 2 of a two-day workshop featuring Robert Ellis (Colorado State University, USA) & Sean Kaufman (Emory University, Atlanta, USA).
