Continuing dental education
& continuing professional development
The HKU Faculty of Dentistry offers regular seminars and courses for continuing dental
education and continuing professional development. Such events are usually locally
accredited for CME/CPD points, and they are led by Faculty staff, visiting lecturers, and
guest speakers who are at the forefront in their disciplines. An emphasis is placed on the
critical appraisal and practical application of the latest research evidence and discussion
of current policies and best practices.
Regular continuing dental education series during the academic year include “Advances in
Clinical Dentistry and Related Sciences” seminars. Special summer courses are also
available in some disciplines. The full schedule for our continuing dental education
programme is continually updated and can be found in the Faculty’s CDE website
(http://facdent.hku.hk/cde). Online registration and payment is also conducted through the Faculty’s
CDE website.
