TwinWire™ press Type TWP 40/46 The unit dewaters pulp by pressing it between two continuous feed endless wires in a closed dewatering process. The Paraformer™ headbox distributes the pulp slurry evenly across the width of the press. Pulp stock is fed under pressure between top and bottom wires, supported by high open area static foil assemblies, and sealed on the sides by tapered deckles. The static foils are positioned to dewater the pulp sheet by constant volumetric reduction. The pulp mat is led under one leadroll and is then pressed in progressively loaded press nips. Finally, the wires are driven between the loaded drive rolls and the pulp sheet exits the press. Material Parts exposed to the process media are made of stainless steel , type SAF 2304 (EN 1.4362) or equivalent. Design data The TWP conforms to the Machinery Directive 98/37/ EC for design and construction of machines and safety components.
