EQALM symposium 2014

General Information
This year the annual EQALM symposium and General Assembly will be held in Toulouse, France. The meeting will
take place at the Hotel Palladia on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 October 2014.
The meeting includes the annual EQALM Working Groups.
The symposium is entitled:

The Adam Uldall Lecture will be given by David Bullock (UK NEQAS) and will address the Post Market Surveillance of
Manufacturers Assays and the Effects of the new IVD regulation.
The final program will be presented on www.eqalm.org

Abstract session
A special session will be organised for contributions from EQA organisations. Here EQA organisations will have the
opportunity to share EQA‐related information which could be of interest to other EQA organisations.
Oral presentations will be selected from the abstracts submitted (max. 500 words). Each EQA member organisation
may submit more than one abstract.

Speakers selected for the abstract session will not have their travel or hotel costs reimbursed, and will also have to
pay the regular registration fee.

We offer a walk on foot from 18:30 to 20:30 divided into 4 groups (3 groups with English speaking guide and a group
with French speaking guide). Over the course of this walk, admire passing the Capitol (Town Hall), the Basilica of
Saint‐Sernin, and many churches and mansions along the Garonne, you enjoy stunning views of the iconic
monuments of Toulouse.
Then we will take you to the restaurant, where you can enjoy a show while discovering the regional gastronomy. And
if your feet do not suffer too much, you can try a few dance steps.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Hotel reservations should be made by the participants themselves. You can book rooms for the hotels
listed below on the web site http://www.r‐j‐international.com/ (you can choose with flags in the left upper
corner the language French or English). Assistance in the use of the website is provided after the list of
hotels. The price of hotel rooms is for one night. Sojourn taxes are included. You can rent rooms for the
following nights: 22, 23 and 24 October. If you need more nights, contact Ryan (+ 33 (0)6 14 59 02 85).

Assistance in the use of the website :
You have to book room day by day even if it is the same hotel. Go on the first day, choose the right hotel.
Click on it (select the number of rooms you need, it is not the number of nights !). Then click on “order”
and return to item “categories” on the left menu, click on “eqalm” for the following dates and so on. When
the number of nights is booked you need to go to “account” : click on “create an account”. Then you have
to complete and validate the information sheet. Then go on “paypal” or on ”please, sign in to see payment
methods”.
