beautiful river valley along the castle
route and right through the nature
park Neckar – Odenwald. The varying
landscape of this valley offers many
fascinating impressions, just made
for a river boat trip with the RNF fleet.
Right after the Old Bridge you see
the Heidelberg Castle. Then we pass
one of the many locks which lifts the
boat 10 feet high. After that you will
see on the left side the Benedictine
Monastery Stift Neuburg. The trip
goes on to Neckargemünd, passes
by Dilsberg and Schwalbennest the
first of four castles in Neckarsteinach.
Then we reach Hirschhorn, a medieval
town crowned by a lovely castle.

wine towns Oppenheim and Nierstein. We
reach Eltville around 13:00 p.m. o’clock.

Return by bus at 07:30 p.m. o’clock.
... to Rüdesheim
We pass Eltville you see the worldfamous MM-Champagne (Math. Müller)
a large winery, Hattenheim and Geisenheim at about 04:00 p.m. o’clock
we arrive in Rüdesheim. In Rüdesheim
you have plenty of time to visit the
Niederwald-Monument. Return by bus
at 07:00 p.m. o’clock.
... to St. Goar:
After Rüdesheim we pass the Mäuseturm (Mice Tower), the so called Binger
Loch and see the places Lorch, Bacharach with the castle Stahleck, Kaub (with
its old customs station Pfalz) which is
placed on a rock in the middle of the
river and Oberwesel. Afterwards we drive
through the Loreley Valley till we reach
St. Goar at 05:15 p.m. o’clock.

Heidelberg - Worms...
We go downwards the Neckar river, pass
the 2000 year old roman city of Ladenburg right to the top of the Neckar where
it leads into the Rhine. Here are the cities
Mannheim and Ludwigshafen which are
part of the biggest industrial metropolitan
region and the most important terminal
for the shipping in south Germany. After
leaving the landing stage we see parts
of the harbour in Mannheim and the
famous BASF Company. As we go on
downstream we see various cargo ships
from all european nations. Soon we will
reach Worms and stop around 00:30
p.m. o’clock at the Hagen Monument.
Till the return at 03:30 p.m. o’clock you
have time to roam through the town and
to see the cathedral and the Siegfried
monument.

the places Lorch, Bacharach with
the castel Stahleck, Kaub (with its
old custom station „Pfalz”) which
is right on the middle of the Rhine
rock and Oberwesel. Afterwards
our boat floats through the Loreley
Valley till we reach St. Goar at
17.15 o’clock. To reach St. Goarshausen you have to take the ferry
(price incl.). Stay in St. Goar and St. Goarshausen approx. 2 hours
and 15 minutes. Bus return from St. Goarshausen at 19.30 o’clock with
photo stop on the Loreley Rock.

of „Rhine in Flames” is without a doubt Europe’s largest boat parade. Around 75
boats glide through the river currents passing romantic Rhine locations, castles and
mansions which are illuminated with Bengal lights. Eight firework programs accompany the journey on the 17 kilometres between Spay and Koblenz, which finishes
with a wonderful final firework display over the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz.
