TEMPORARY CUSTODIAN – BANCROFT AREA Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board is a system of character that delivers a quality learning experience to support high levels of achievement for each student. The Achievement in Motion System Plan is the foundation for all goals, district priorities and actions to ensure the success of each student through safe, respectful, inclusive learning and working environments. We are currently recruiting for an individual to perform a high standard of custodial responsibilities which provide a safe and clean learning environment for our students. This position is for 40 hours per week, however, temporary to replace a leave of absence. It is anticipated to end May 29, 2015. Heavy physical exertion required when shovelling snow, unloading trucks, and operating floor machines. Custodial staff are certified to perform regulated duties, for example testing water, and therefore must participate in training. You must have access to a vehicle for travelling to various schools and a valid driving license. In accordance with Ontario Regulation 521/01—Collection of Personal Information, criminal record checks and vulnerable sector screening will be required of all employees of the Board that have direct and regular contact with students. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant must possess a secondary school diploma, over three months related experience, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the capability to perform custodial responsibilities.
