30 YEARS OF GIVING: Grandpa Larry’s 30th annual Golf
Shootout is scheduled for Friday, June 12th. It is a benefit for
Hastings Family Service and the Redwing Area Food Shelf.
Registrations will be taken until May 30th. The event will be held
at the River Oaks Golf Course on Hwy 61 in Cottage Grove with
shotgun start held at 11 am. Cost is 80 dollars per player. It is
a best ball scramble tournament and you must have a 4 player
team to register. Cost includes 18 holes of golf with a cart.
Dinner will follow at River Oaks Golf Lounge. A raffle drawing
and prizes will also be awarded. Register online at

PRESCOTT CHAMBER EVENTS: The Chicken Feed will
once again be held on May 25th at Freedom Park and will
include a calendar raffle. The Poker Stroll will take place on
July 16th. A new Prescott Guide book is nearing completion
and local businesses are reminded to get their information in

IMPORTANT WINS TO END LAST WEEK: The Hastings
Raiders Baseball Team absolutely needed a win to keep that
outside chance of a home playoff game alive, and they got it
in a rain-shortened, 2-0, 6-inning win over Hill-Murray on
Thursday. The win split the season series between the two
teams, as the Pioneers won game one, 13-3 at Hill-Murray
