Accessibility assessment
•
•
•
Different operators working among equal
participation have developed a methods to assess
accessibility within various environments such as
built environment, sporting facilities, cultural
services, home environment, sensory
environment.
By taking into consideration the accessibility
criteria specifically for sporting facilities, equal
participation and inclusion in society becomes
more feasible.
The assessment and reporting are extensive and
exact but also time-consuming and arduous.
–
For example comprehensive assessment method to public
built environment (ESKEH) developed by The Finnish
Association of People with Physical Disabilities (FPD)
includes thousands of questions, with hundreds of pages of
paper in all
