ABSTRACT
What does mathematics have to tell us
about knitting? And what does knitting
have to tell us about mathematics? In this
talk we explore some of the surprising
links between these two different fields
and see some beautiful mathematical
ideas that knitting can help us to
understand.
She visits Finland as a guest of the
Finnbrit Centre and makes a tour of
public talks in several cities. In
Tampere she is hosted by
the
LUMATE Centre (www.lumate.fi).
